Summary:

Law attempts to rescue a defeated Luffy, but is attacked by Hawkins and shot with a nail made of Seastone, and is unable to prevent Luffy’s capture. In the ruins of Oden Castle, all the Straw Hats and their allies have survived, and Kiku is about to tell them about Wana’s current situation. Zoro, Franky, Robin, and Usopp read the report of Luffy’s defeat as their captain is taken to prison where he is placed in a cell next to Eustace Kid.
Kaidou’s subordinates examine the defeated Luffy and are surprised that he survived Kaidou’s hit. Law moves, grabs Luffy and runs away, but Hawkins shoots him in the arm with a nail made of Seastone, revealing that Seastone originated here in Wano and can only be tuned to that level here. He then turns his sword into straw to attack Law with. Kaidou notices that Luffy is still staring at him and tells his subordinates to throw him in a cell, saying that he will make a good subordinate once his will is broken. Kaidou also says not to mention that Luffy is a pirate in the news report because foreigners are not allowed in Wan. However, when his subordinates move towards Luffy, they are suddenly knocked out by his Haoshoku Haki, and Shutenmaru recognizes it as the ability Oden used. Kaidou notes that Eustass Kid also used this Haki and expresses irritation at how there are too many people who can use Haoshoku Haki as he transforms back into a dragon as he flies away only to get drunk again after sobering up.
Law escapes into the woods, worried about his crew and allies. Hawkins’ subordinates report to him in Bakura Town that Law has escaped, and he is fine with that, but vows to find him eventually. In the town of Okobore, Kin’emon spies on Tsuru and takes care of a citizen named Gorobe. He notes that his wife is still beautiful, but he has no intention of reuniting with her until Oden’s wish is granted. She then sees Shutenmaru leaving and recognizes him as Ashura Doji. At the ruins of Oden Castle, Kiku is relieved to see the male members of the alliance still alive after Kaidou’s attack. Sanji carried the females to safety while Shinobu used her Juku Juku Jutsu to mature on the ground below the males, causing a depression to form. After the males escape from the abyss, Kiku prepares to tell the alliance members about the current situation. Meanwhile, Inuarashi and the Musketeers discover an injured Tama and head into the forest to treat her immediately.
News of Luffy and Kaidou’s fight circulates through Wan, and Franky, Robin, Usopp, and Zoro are completely horrified to hear it. The next day in the Udon area, people are hard at work making weapons in the Kaidou factories. In the dungeons of these factories, one of the Beasts pirates delivers a poisonous fish to a certain cell. Their order is to give a poisonous boneless fish to feed the prisoner inside, who appears to be still alive despite the poison. The Beasts Pirate guards then rejoice when Luffy is brought in and taunt him. Luffy glares at them in response and one of them tries to retaliate by attacking him with a sword. However, the mysterious prisoner spits a fish skeleton at the guard and hits him in the neck, causing him to be reprimanded for not removing the bones from the fish as ordered. Luffy is brought into another room and thrown into a cell and the guards say that they will work with him starting tomorrow until his will is broken and he pledges his allegiance to Kaidou. Kid is in the cell next to Luffy and the two swear revenge on Kaidou, causing them to notice each other as the curtains close on the first act of the Wano Country Arc.
