Summary:

The chapter opens with Mont Blanc Cricket telling the Straw Hats that he will tell them everything he knows about Sky Island. He tells them to believe everything he says, to which Luffy quickly replies well. Cricket talks about how night suddenly approaches in the middle of the day. Luffy and Usopp respond by remembering that it happened before, adding that several gigantic shadows also appeared with the night. The cricket puts the monster story aside and goes on to explain that the sudden night is actually the shadow of a very thick cloud. Nami points out that the darkness was much more than any shadow of a cloud, and Luffy says that Cricket is an idiot because days that have a lot of clouds are cloudy, to which Usopp and Chopper agree. At this Cricket yells at them to shut up and listen. He explains what this cloud is called and how it is a cloud that never changes for thousands and millions of years known as the “millennium cumulonimbus”. Nami denies it and Luffy calls it a mysterious cloud. Cricket says that the only place Sky Island can be is in one of these clouds. To this, everyone celebrates that Sky Island exists and Luffy orders to go to the sky, but Nami yells at them that they don’t know how to do it.
Cricket explains about the Knock Up Stream, saying that it’s the only way to get to Sky Island, and that the Straw Hats have to be very lucky to even get there without dying. Usopp overhears this and tries to cancel their trip to Sky Island, but Luffy insists that everything will be fine. Usopp points out that their ship can’t handle such a disaster, but Cricket says that they can rely on Masira and Shoujo to back up the ship. Nami tells Luffy that they won’t make it because the Knock Up Stream only appears 5 times a month, and to get to Skypiea, the Knock Up Stream has to be directly below it. She reminds him that they only have a day before their Log Pose changes destinations. When Usopp asks Cricket when this will happen next, Cricket replies that it will happen the next day at noon, much to Usopp’s horror.
Usopp suddenly accuses Cricket of lying about everything he just said, saying that they only met him today, but he’s too nice. Luffy tries to stop him but Usopp just tells him to shut up and goes on about how everything is going too smoothly and that Cricket is lying because he is Noland’s descendant after all. The two men and Sanji come out and say the food is ready. There is an awkward moment of silence. Cricket starts talking again about the Knock Up Stream and the next day’s night. He says he’s glad to meet idiots like them and tells everyone to come to the house and eat. When he calls Usopp a comrade, he starts to feel bad and asks Nami if he’s a miserable coward. They all rush to eat and Nami responds by saying he’s a jerk too and tells him he should apologize. Usopp hugs Cricket and says he’s sorry.
The Straw Hats and Saruyama Alliance have a big party while Robin sits in the corner reading Noland’s diary. Cricket says “there lies gold in the right eye of the skull” was Noland’s last line and Cricket can’t tell what he meant. As they have some more fun, Bellamy’s ship approaches Cricket’s house.
