Summary:
Yamato tells Momonosuke and Shinobu about how Ace gave him hope for the future. Meanwhile, Luffy and other related pirates from the worst generation make it to the roof to finally confront Kaidou and Big Mom.
As Yamato pulls out Oden’s journal, he reveals more about his time with Ace. As Ace and Yamato sat by the campfire, they discussed their dreams. Ace was discussing Luffy’s dreams; since childhood, Luffy had a dream to find One Piece in memory of Roger. Yamato uses Ace’s fingernail to create his Vivre Card. Ace eventually left the island and Yamato kept his Vivre card.
However, during the Summit War, Ace was killed in battle. When he died in Marineford, Yamato’s Vivre card disintegrated before his eyes. Yamato remembered when Ace told him that his brother Luffy would rise as a powerful pirate. Yamato decided to wait for Luffy to come to save the country from Kaida.
Yamato finishes his story and entrusts Oden’s diary to Momonosuke. It implies that Luffy was the person mentioned in the prophecy who will arrive in the country to depose Kaidou.
Kid, Killer, Law and Zoro make it to the roof to confront Kaida and Big Mom. Luffy also enters by breaking through the ceiling. After tending to Kin’emon’s injured body, Luffy apologizes for being late to the battle. Remembering all the people who made the rebellion possible, Luffy created a Ryuo imbued, Gear Third strike that knocked Kaidou down. As Kaidou stands up, Luffy declares that he will become the Pirate King.\
