Summary:
Kanjuro flies off with Momonosuke. Jinbe appears underwater and joins the Straw Hats.
Usopp tries to shoot Kanjur, but the attack is deflected. Sanji also joins in, but Kanjuro uses a special technique to fend him off. She uses her hair to create an ink cloud from which arrows of ink rain down. The arrows hit Sanji, as do the allies and their ships. The Straw Hats try to escape the barrage of arrows. Kanjuro revels in the anxiety of allies.
Momonosuke is initially too scared because of the height, but remembers Luffy encouraging him back in Zo. He also remembers the speech he gave to the prisoners in Udon that won the prisoners’ loyalty. With this courage, he yells at the allies and tells them not to worry about him and focus on the invasion, saying that he can escape on his own.
An enemy ship that escaped returns and attacks the allied fleet with a long-range cannon. The ship is too far away for Luffy’s ship to shoot at. However, Jinbe appears underwater and destroys the ship using Fish-Man Karate. He decides to officially join the Straw Hats as a helmsman.
The anime adds the following:
Kawamatsu frees Shinoba from Kanjur’s snakes.
Usopp uses the Platano Shuriken to hit Kanjur, who blocks the attack.
Sanji briefly fights Kanjuro.
Zoro, Franky, and Sheaths breaking drops from Kanjuro’s Ukiyo Yudachi Ezu attack.
Jinbe uses another attack to break the ranged cannons.
