Summary:

Orochi begins to take power in the country supported by Kaida. Oden and his men travel to Udon to face Kaidou.

Five years have passed since Oden’s return to the land of Wano, and not much has changed. He earned a reputation as a foolish master for his naked dances, but the other daimyos and his servants supported him unconditionally.

However, Orochi made his move. He wanted to start building weapons factories in Kuri to transform the country into a leader in the arms industry. Orochi captured Hyogoro, who refused to serve him, and sent him to prison. Those who tried to help Hyogoro, including his wife, were shot dead. After hearing the news, Oden decided that Orochi had become a major threat and must be stopped. Because of their unwavering loyalty to the land, Oden’s servants were named the Nine Red Sheaths.

Kaidou’s men were strangely prepared for the attack, almost as if there was a spy in Oden’s servants. The nine red sheaths faced hundreds of beast pirates as well as Kaidou himself in his dragon form. Kaidou revealed that the promises he made to Orochi Oden were all lies. The battle begins and despite being heavily outnumbered, the Nine Red Sheaths put up a strong fight against the Beasts Pirates. While Oden’s men faced off, Toki watched over Momonosuke and Hiyori back in Kuri, under pressure from Yasuie to keep them safe at all costs.
The anime shows a small flashback to when Hyogoro’s wife was shot and Hyogoro himself was taken away by the Beasts pirates. It was only mentioned in the manga.
