Summary:

The mountain god continues his rampage in the flower capital until Oden confronts and defeats him. After this incident, Oden was banished from the capital. Because of their admiration for Oden, Kin’emon and Denjiro decide to follow him.

After staying with Shimotsuki Yasuie for a while, Oden decided to travel to Kuri. Along the way, Oden was also joined by Izou, Kikunojo, Kanjuro and Raizo. Oden eventually arrives in Kuri and prepares to fight the bandits there.

A giant boar, named the Mountain God, roams the city looking for his young. Hearing that the mountain god has swallowed Tsurujo, Kin’emon decides to fight him head on. Despite stabbing the beast, Kin’emon is knocked back to the ground and defeated. Oden then appears and uses his sword to cut the animal in half. Although the incident claimed no lives, a quarter of the city was destroyed by the mountain god.

Oden is blamed for the incident, and receives a notice from his father to disassociate himself and banish him from the capital. Kin’emon and Denjiro decide to follow him and serve him.

Oden stays in Hakumai and meets the local daimyo Yasui and his servant Orochi. He ends up destroying the room he is staying in, stealing money from the safe, and then leaves to travel the country. He plans to end up in Kuri, a lawless land, where he would restore order to the region. He finds followers on his travels; he met the young siblings Izou and Kikunojo in Ringo, Kanjuro in Kibi, and the mountain bandit Raizo in Udon. However, while in Kuri, he came face to face with the bandit Ashura Doji and started a battle.
