Summary:
Zoro and Hiyori meet Fujino and several ninja who serve Orochi. After defeating the ninjas, Zoro plans to get Shusui back.
In the Flower Capital, Law allows himself to be captured in exchange for the release of the captured crew members.
Back at Udon, Chopper cures Luffy of his mummy. Afterwards, Luffy regains his strength.
Zoro and Hiyori are ambushed by Fukurokuju’s group of ninjas. Although Zoro defeats most ninjas without difficulty, the stronger ninja Fujin stands in his way. Despite this, Zoro defeats Fujin unscathed. He and Hiyori seek shelter in a house where he plans to get Shusui back to prepare for a raid on Onigashi.
Orochi berates Fukuroku for letting Zoro escape. To calm him down, Fukurokuju states that he managed to capture another criminal, Law, who was brutally tortured and chained to a wall. They created wanted posters of all the Straw Hats and their allies. Sanji and Shinobu discover that they are both wanted throughout the country.
They decide to sit on the roof where they plan their next moves. Now that most of their work in the Flower Capital is done, they decide the next step is to free the samurai allies who have been imprisoned by Orochi’s guard. Sanji watches people create skyships, lantern-like balloons that are released into the sky during the Fire Festival.
In Udon, Chopper finally creates a cure for the mummy virus. Luffy is healed first, then the other prisoners are healed as well.
Nami runs through the capital to find Bepa in the streets. Bepo shows her the leaflet about the uprising, where Yasuie added two lines to the snake to change the meeting place. After Nami leaves, Bepo reveals what happened to Law. In exchange for Bepo’s freedom, Law turned himself in to be arrested. After he was beaten, Hawkins and Drake chained him to a wall and tortured him for information.
The anime adds the following:
Chopper administers the Mummy antidote to Luffy.
The torture of the law is shown.
Zoro’s fight with Fujino and his men is extended in the anime.
Fujin is shown using Busoshoku Haki.
In the manga, Fukurokuju informs Orochi of Law’s capture after Law is about to be questioned by Hawkins. It was earlier in the anime.
The flashback to Law’s confrontation with Hawkins in Rasetsu District is extended.
During the flashback, Bepo does not yell at Law in the manga.
This is the first episode since episode 4 to adapt a chapter that is lower than the episode number.
