Summary:
Luffy tries to teach Ryuo through fighting in Sumo Inferno. It continues into the night and will continue the next day. Luffy and Hyogoro meet with Cariba and Raizo and talk about the rebellion.
Tonoyasu talks and addresses Kanjur and Shinoba randomly, but they don’t remember him.
Meanwhile, Big Mom approaches Udon with Kiku, Chopper, Momonosuke and Tama.
Hyogoro teaches Luffy how to use Ryuo, the equivalent of Haki in Wano Country. Luffy tries at first, but Hyogoro tells him to let his unused Haki “flow” into his fist. Luffy still fights and beats people up by punching them regularly.
Meanwhile, in the city of Ebisu, Tonoyasu discusses the symbol of the rebellion. The others think the plan is ruined because the symbol leaked, but Tonoyasu says it worked in their favor because now many people know about the symbol and are willing to join the alliance. Tonoyasu joins their cause before leaving to take care of the other citizens.
Tonoyasu goes around taking care of people, checking on them, giving them food and playing with children. The old woman explains that Tonoyasu receives income from her daughter Toko, who works in the capital, and sends it to him. Tonoyasu would give most of it away to the townspeople.
Nightfall comes and Luffy is still in a sumo match but still doesn’t know how to use Ryuo. After Haki takes out the guards, he reveals that he plans to take down Kaido and restore the Kozuki family. Raizo appears, having recruited Caribou into the alliance. Hyogoro then expresses his gratitude that the Revolutionary Alliance has survived to the present, and then asks to join the cause. Raizo lets him.
Hyogoro gets the idea to recruit the Udon prisoners to fight for them, since most of the prisoners were arrested for treason. The others accept the idea and Raizo gets to work breaking Kawamatsu out of his cell. Caribou pulls out a giant pot of red bean soup stolen from Queen.
The anime adds the following:
After Hyogoro defeats Alpacaman, it is shown that Hyogoro’s use of Haki has worn him down to some extent.
After Madilloman is defeated, the Queen is shown furious at the inability of the Beasts pirates to fight Luffy.
Another scene of Big Mom thinking about oshiruko and scaring Chopper.
Toko dreams of her father.
Luffy’s Haoshoku Haki blows up the prison guards.
The capture of Tonoyasu is shown.
He is shown by Caribou giving the Queen’s oshiruko bank to Luffy.
