Summary:
After reading about Levely in the newspaper, Luffy’s group finds themselves in a dangerous sea surrounding Wano Country that leads to the bottom of a waterfall. Luffy uses a giant carp swimming around them to pull the crew and ship up to the waterfall, but they end up floating into the vortex above, causing Luffy to be submerged.
As the Thousand Sunny sails to the land of Wano, Nami reads about Levely in the newspaper and calls Luffy after seeing news of Shirahoshi and her family arriving at Mary Geoise. The crew then see images of Vivi, their allies from Dressrosa, and their allies and enemies from Drum Island. Chopper takes the paper to cut out a picture of Kureha while Sanji cuts out pictures of the princesses, and this prevents Nami from reading the article about Big Mom and Kaido, angering her.
Luffy tries to contact Kin’emon through Den Den Mushi, but is unable to connect. A few weeks ago on Zou, the samurai Kin’emon, Kanjuro and Raizo revealed that their companion Momonosuke was the heir to the daimyo of Kuri, Kozuki Oden. However, Oden was killed by Shogun Wano and Kaida, and the samurai asked Luffy and Law to join them in their quest to take down the two and avenge Oden. In the present, the Octopus stealthily makes its way to Sunny as the Straw Hats head into an area with strong winds and erratic currents. The crew debates whether or not to return, but decide to continue as Nami remembers Kin’emon telling her on Zou that Wano was surrounded by harsh conditions.
Sunny is swept into the current, and the Straw Hats see giant fish moving beneath them, causing them great fear. However, the fish turns out to be a giant carp, and Luffy immediately starts thinking about how to cook and eat one. After a discussion with Sanji, Luffy pulls out on a carp, but is unable to outrun it as it swims on. Sunny’s crew wonder where this current is going and to their shock, they find it has taken them to the bottom of the waterfall. While wondering what to do before they are crushed by the falls, Luffy jumps back onto the ship. He then grabbed two carp that were swimming down the waterfall and made Sunny pull them up. The Straw Hats successfully reach the top of the waterfall and see the land ahead of them, which they assume is Wano. However, he then realizes that he is heading into a vortex. Nami forces Luffy to release the carp and has Brook try to step out of the vortex, but Brook fails. Shortly after, Luffy is seen diving into the sea.
The anime adds the following:
When Luffy’s group sees Vivi in the paper, Brook says that he would like to see her panties when he meets her, causing Nami to hit him.

Before Sunny gets into the vortex, Nami hits Luffy to make him let go of the carp he was holding on to.
In the manga, Sunny’s group encountered a hot tub immediately after reaching the top of the waterfall. In the anime, they have a moment to look at Wan before they see the hot tub.
Sunny going to the hot tub is extended in the anime.
As they tried to wade through the giant carp, the art briefly looked like ukiyo-e paintings.
