Summary:
In the mirror world, Luffy begins a fierce confrontation with Katakuri.
After getting off Whole Cake Island, the group on the Thousand Sunny mourn Pedro’s self-sacrifice until Jinbe tells them to focus on escaping Totto Land. They are soon chased by Big Mom and a small fleet.
Meanwhile, Sanji, Pudding, and Chiffon approach Cacao Island.
Luffy confronts Katakuri in the Mirror World, and although Commander Sweet claims that Luffy’s recklessness has made him very dangerous to the Big Mom Pirates, Luffy is no match for him in battle. Katakuri’s subordinates confirm this, stating that his reward is greater than Beli1,000,000,000 and he is the strongest of the Three Sweet Commanders. Luffy then attacks Katakuri, but Katakuri easily dodges all the attacks and hits Luffy with his advanced Kenbunshoku Haki. Finally, Luffy attacks Katakuri with quick punches, but instead of moving out of the way, Katakuri creates mochi tendrils from his back, which he transforms into a fist, perfectly resisting all of Luffy’s mochi punches. After Luffy stops attacking, Katakuri starts punching him, beating him mercilessly to the point of pushing him into a wall and creating a crater. Katakuri says that he is better than Luffy in everything, and with Gear 2 activated, Luffy attempts to attack Katakuri again. However, Katakuri is able to keep up with Luffy in Gear 2 and eventually overtakes him to kick him into a wall. Katakuri then predicts that Luffy will show him his power when Luffy bites his thumb.
Meanwhile, the Thousand Sunny falls back into the sea, far away from Whole Cake Island. The crew briefly searches for Luffy, but deduces that he must have gone to the mirror world. Brook and Chopper then wonder where Pedro is, and Nami explains Pedro’s sacrifice to them as it starts to rain. The three and Carrot get upset and cry, but Jinbe tells them not to get upset. This angers Brook, but Jinbe tells them that Pedro was preparing to sacrifice himself and that his sacrifice allowed them to escape the onslaught of Big Mom’s pirates on Whole Cake Island. Since they are still in Totto Land and the Big Mom Pirates would be chasing them again soon, they will have to work and be vigilant to escape and honor Pedro’s goal. This spurs Nami, Chopper, Brook and Carrot into action and they quickly get into position to help them on their way. However, Carrot soon sees a fleet of Big Mom Pirates coming up behind them, and is accompanied by Big Mom herself, who rides a sweet sea slug created by Perosper. Perospero creates a prosthetic right arm out of candy, but curses Pedro because the candy arm dissolves whenever the tea is drunk. Meanwhile, Zeus and Prometheus go to the shore of Whole Cake Island to find no one there, and both friends are frustrated and hungry.
Elsewhere, as Sanji, Chiffon, Pudding and Nitro ride the Rabiyan towards Cacao Island, Sanji discovers that Lola is a master chocolatier. Chiffon reveals that Lola was the Minister of Chocolate who ruled over Cocoa Island before she ran away, and the position has not been filled since, as the top candidate, Pudding, refuses to take Lola’s place. Pudding is currently lying in the rolled up front of Rabiyan and refuses to come out because he doesn’t want to be seen with Sanji in his wedding dress. Down in the sea below, Pound sails away when he sees Chiffon above. He tries to call out to his daughter, but she cannot hear him as her team arrives at Cacao Island.
