Summary:
The Sanji Retrieval Team goes to the Fire Tank Pirates hideout to meet Capone Bege.
Meanwhile, the Sun Pirates tend to the injured Pekoms and guard him to prevent him from reporting to Big Mom.
While Nami and Carrot are bathing, they have a conversation with Charlotte Chiffon, who explains Lola’s arranged marriage to Loki, Prince of Elbaf, and how Lola’s escape from her marriage cost Big Mom an alliance with the giants.
After bathing and changing, the Sanji Retrieval Team meets Bege in person.
Big Mom Pirates Chef Streusen leads several other chefs in making a wedding cake for an upcoming wedding, singing a song connecting cooking with life in the process. At the eastern entrance of Whole Cake Island, Pekoms is under the watchful eye of the Sun Pirates. Aladine assures him that Jinbe reported Bege’s betrayal to Big Mom and his colleagues willingly backed him up, but this only makes Pekoms suspicious and the Sun Pirates worried when he resists their lies.
Luffy and Sanji make it to the Fire Tank Pirates hideout where they are greeted by Vito who is excited to see Sanji. Chopper, who looks like he just got out of the bathtub, comes out and reunites with his crewmates, and Luffy and Sanji are confused by his appearance. Chopper confirms that he took a bath, which Luffy doesn’t like because he wants to meet Bege quickly. However, Vito reveals that Bege won’t meet them until they’re clean, and a battered Luffy and Sanji realize they’ll have to take a bath.
In the ladies’ bath, Nami and Carrot talk to Chiffon while they bathe. Nami tells her about her experiences with her sister Lola and is surprised that Big Mom angrily tells her about the time Lola ran away from her arranged marriage. Chiffon reveals that there are no giants living in Totto Land because they have a bad relationship with Big Mom, but that almost changes when Loki, the prince of Elbaf, falls in love with Lola at first sight and proposes to her. After Lola refused to marry him and ran away, Big Mom tried to use Chiffon as a replacement, but the giants quickly realized the deception and their relationship with Big Mom only worsened. Since then, Big Mom has given up on trying to mend relations with the giants and instead focused on turning humans into giants, which she put Caesar Clown to work on. Big Mom hated Lola for ruining her reconciliation efforts, and that hatred extended to Chiffon because he looked exactly like Lola. This led to Chiffon being abused every time Big Mom saw her, and with her frequent wounds still on her mind, Chiffon has no problem with Bege’s plan to murder her mother. He notes that Lola probably doesn’t even know that Big Mom wants to kill her because of her happy nature.
Elsewhere, after bathing, Luffy and Brook get some milk from the fridge to heal their injuries despite the disapproval of the Fire Tank Pirate guard. To his shock, Luffy regains his lost tooth and Brook’s head injury is healed by the milk. With everyone clean, the Sanji Retrieval Team picks out new outfits, with Luffy initially donning Sora’s Warrior of the Sea robot costume. Sanji leaves the room and runs into Nami, and as she passes him, she tells him that she’ll make him work hard for her when she rejoins them, but that just blows him away. Brûlée and Diesel have also taken a bath and are sitting tied up in the hallway. Brûlée gets mad at Chiffon for going against her family, but Chiffon says that Bege and Pez are her family now and Lola’s life is in danger. The Sanji Retrieval Team goes into the meeting room and Luffy looks around for Bege. Bege then arrives and prepares to find out whether or not this potential alliance can work.
In Sweet City, Big Mama Charlotte Oven’s fourth son heads to Whole Cake Castle. The liquid on the ground hisses as he steps into it and as the guards are about to open the entrance for him he says there is no need as he steps into the door and melts it allowing him to enter. The tea party is scheduled to start in three hours and 30 minutes.
