Summary:
After Otohime died, Hody Jones found and killed the suspected human killer and showed him to the people.
Back in the present, Nami forgives Jinbe for letting Arlong run free and Sanji kicks Luffy in the face for sleeping through the whole story. Suddenly, a large Den Den Mushi mobile visual appears with Hody announcing that the New Fish-Man Pirates will take over the entire island.
After Otohime died, Hody Jones caught and shot a human pirate who he claimed was Otohime’s killer. Despite Jinbe’s orders to hide the body, Hoda revealed to the weeping people that a human had killed Otohime. Neptune locks herself in the Hard-Shell tower and refuses to come out until she calms down. The minister accompanied him during his time, and Neptune comments that he would have killed the gunman even if he was unarmed, realizing that Otohime wouldn’t want that. He comments on the cycle of hatred and revenge and knows when it begins and killing would spread hatred and make children’s eyes freeze from witnessing and harboring hatred. He could relate to what Otohime was trying to do, but he is torn from his duties as a king to fulfill her wishes and duties as a husband for wanting to avenge his beloved wife. He states that as a soldier he avenged the lives of his comrades and killed several people and was unable to help Otohime because of what he had done in the past. After a few days, he finally calmed down and returned to the palace to consult with his children. On the day of Queen Otohime’s funeral, he heard from Shirahoshi that letters had been flying and that someone named Vander Decken IX wanted her hand in marriage, which enraged Neptune as she was only six years old. Neptune wants them to find him and decides that his children will not attend the funeral due to the possibility that he will be there. Everyone on Fish-Man Island attended Queen Otohime’s funeral, where Fukaboshi announced on the video screen that he and his siblings would fulfill their mother’s dream.
As the flashback ends, Jinbe asks for Nami’s forgiveness for letting Arlong escape and cause her pain, saying that she will accept whatever punishment she wishes, but Nami claims that she only hates Arlong and not any other fish man and is happy as , how are you. now that Jinbe and Hachi wept over her forgiveness and stated that he was indebted to her. After Sanji kicks Luffy for sleeping through the whole story, Hachi proceeds to explain Hody’s hatred for humans and how it is even greater than Arlong’s. He says how this year is the year of the world summit and how Neptune was going to spread the word about people spreading to the world and says Hody will take his place and cause something worse. Before you can finish, a large Den Den Mushi mobile visual appears with Hody announcing that the new Fish-Man Pirates will take over the entire island.
