Summary:

Luffy is still upset about Ace’s death, blaming it on his weakness. Jinbe helps Luffy think back to what he still has. Luffy decides to meet up with his friends.

Luffy is still devastated by Ace’s death.

Meanwhile, Garp visits Foosha Village and sinks three pirate ships on his way. He assures the villagers that the village will be protected under his name. Dadan then storms out of the Makino bar and slams Garp for doing nothing to save Ace in the war. Makino stops Dadan from harming him further and says that Garp must be the one suffering the most. Dadan says that’s not true and that Luffy has to suffer the most because he loved his brother so much. This causes Makino to run away in tears after remembering Ace and Luffy from their childhood. Garp later tells everyone that Luffy probably escaped and is still alive. Dadan says that Luffy is stupid, but she would side with him no matter what type of pirate he becomes. She then shouted at the top of her lungs “Luffy, don’t be defeated.”

In the New World, the Red Pirates and the remaining Whitebeard Pirates tend to bury Ace and Whitebeard. Marco thanks Shanks for all his help. Shanks quietly tells Luffy that it’s okay to cry, but more importantly to move on.

Back on Amazon Lily, Luffy continues to blame his weakness for his failure to save Ace. Jinbe tells him to stop, but Luffy says that since it’s his body, he can do whatever he wants with it. Jinbe replies that if so, then Ace’s body was also his and he could die no matter what we wanted. Luffy starts to fight Jinbe, but Jinbe easily defeats him. Jinbe finally stops him and begs him not to see what he lost, but what he still has. Remembering his friends, Luffy calms down and tearfully expresses his wish to see them again.
Garp sinks pirate ships where he sinks three, whereas in the manga he only sank one.
Another scene is added in which Dadan was drinking before Garp’s return.
Dadan’s fight with Garp is interrupted much earlier than in the manga.
Luffy’s thoughts of his crew are expanded to the point where they can be seen calling his name.
In some of Luffy’s thoughts on Franky, he is seen with a normal nose instead of his metal one.
The preview for the next episode is shortened from the usual length.
