Summary:

The sea shocks caused by Whitebeard caused a tsunami to hit Marineford. But thanks to Aokija freezing the water, any real potential damage is prevented. After the first attack, more soldiers join the fight and the war really begins. While everyone is fighting, Dracule Mihawk decides to join the fight and attacks Whitebeard. The episode ends as Whitebeard is approached by a giant shockwave from the attack.

Ace apologizes for not listening to his crew when they warned him not to go after Blackbeard, but they insist that Whitebeard told him to go – to take care of their own. Doflamingo and Moria are excited about the battle, but Mihawk and Hancock remain silent. Hancock is disgusted by hot men, with the exception of Luffy, who he prays is okay.

The water levels are receding strangely. Due to the same effect, Luffy’s ship is pulled from the Gate of Justice and Jinbe is the only one who realizes why. Luffy panics, but Jinbe assures him, to Buggy’s disbelief, that they’ll make it in time. In a seemingly miraculous turn of events, the water rushes forward, pushing them forward quickly. However, a large shadow suddenly looms over the ship.

We return to Marineford to get into a tense situation between pirates and marines. The water level rises and giant waves can be seen in the distance. The waves look like they’re about to drown all of Marineford, but Aokiji jumps out and freezes them with his Hie Hie no Mi, “Ice Age” power. He attacks Whitebeard with ice arrows, which Whitebeard quickly neutralizes and hits Aokiji. Aokiji breaks into pieces and falls into the water, which also quickly freezes. They trap all the ships in the bay, but the pirates use the frozen water as a foothold and set off. The marines also start attacking and everything quickly dissolves into an all-out battle, including Smoker and Tashigi. The admirals show their faces, even as the men tell Tsuru he can just sit back and relax. She ignores them and tells them that no matter how far she went, there was no escaping this fight.

Squard, one of Whitebeard’s loyal supporters, tells his own crew to head out. Meanwhile, it seems the Seven Warriors are finally ready to get involved. Surprisingly, it appears to be Mihawk who is ready to jump into battle. He seems to want to see the distance between Whitebeard and himself. Although there are others like Vista who would also like to test themselves against “The World’s Greatest Swordsman”. Mihawk unsheaths his meito sword, “Yoru” and slashes at Whitebeard.
