When Luffy reached level 6 with Inazuma and Emporio Ivankov, they were attacked by traps. When they survived the traps, Ivankov used his powers to replace the male guard with his true self. In appreciation, she showed the three prisoners the way to Ace’s cage, only to find Jinbe and a pair of empty shackles there. As Fish-Man yelled at Luffy to get to the elevator in time, the three prisoners were too late. Luffy was attacked by a pointed object in the elevator shaft. As they headed back to Level 5, the staircase was barred off, leaving no way out. To make matters worse, Hannyabal ordered a sleeping gas to be added to level 6. Inazuma demonstrated his skills and saved the three from falling asleep and being captured. Meanwhile, Ace, when he rebelled, was even worse, Magellan. Ace was then transferred to Onigumo, who personally brought Ace to his gallows. Meanwhile, on level 3, Buggy and Galdino were attacked by a Sphinx. At the same moment, Luffy encountered an old enemy at Level 6, the Crocodile.
As Emporio Ivankov tells Luffy about the dangers of traveling to Marineford, a picture of Akainu appears.
In the anime, the guard Emporio Ivankov captures to forcefully lead them to Ace’s cell turns into a female guard instead. After her transformation, the guard takes them to Ace’s cell as a thank you to Ivankov for helping her find her true self.
In the anime, while trapped in level 6, Ivankov only knocks out a single Den Den Mushi, while in the manga he is seen with his hands full.
Ace is seen fighting the guards, though in the manga Magellan defeats him immediately.
As Ivankov notes that their escape from prison will involve dealing with all the enemies in their way, Blugori is shown wearing a skull mask during a panning cut to them.
