Summary:

Zoro begins his intense battle with Kaku while Sogeking fails to retrieve the key from the sleeping Jabra. Kaku unleashes his Devil Fruit power and causes the floor to cave in. Meanwhile, Luffy searches high and low in the Tower of Justice, attempting to cross the faith to the Bridge of Hesitation.

The initial confrontations between the straw pirates and CP9 continue to develop. Kumadori continues his showboki in front of Nami. Nami decides she is at a disadvantage and simply asks for the key. While he offers to show it, he seems to have misplaced it much to Nami’s irritation. In the bathroom, Sanji believes that the water Kalifa is using to make tea for them is not hot enough, and offers his experience as a chef to make it properly.

Meanwhile, Luffy finally reaches the point where CP9 was during their initial confrontation. Naturally they are not there. Now they have to figure out how to get to the Gate of Justice.

Back at the library, Zoro believes that Kaku is the one who actually has the key to Robin’s bonds. Kaku replies that he can feel the monstrous difference in Zoro’s strength since their first battle at the Galley-La headquarters. While Zoro is terrifying, Kaku says that he is CP9’s best swordsman and should not be taken lightly. Zoro initially believes he is in a dual sword style until Kaku uses rankyaku chops from his legs. Kaku says that the Rankyaku allows him to use the Four Sword Style. Zoro remembers that his training makes Kaku’s entire body a weapon.

The first exchange of swords between Zoro and Kaku begins and they repeatedly clash swords. Their first exchange of sword attacks coincides with Niitoryuu 72- Pound Cannon against Rankyaku Hakurai. Kaku tries to use Sora to jump on Zoro, but is blocked. A quick retaliatory blow from Zoro barely cut through Kaku’s jacket, causing him to laugh. Zoro says he has no time for jokes. Kaku responds by stabbing his swords into the ceiling and using Rankyaku Ran to take down Zoro with a flurry of chops. After Zoro successfully parries this attack, Kaku decides to reveal his Devil Fruit power and begins to transform.

In the garden room, Sogeking tries to tiptoe over to Jabra, hoping to use his sleep to get Key #1 before he notices. But the room seems to be against him. First, a bee stings him in the nose. Then he feels as if his heart has stopped. He is finally confronted by a chicken. But instead of barking, he chirped, making the sniper commit a facial error. Jabra wakes up and punches Sogeking across the room. He remembers his opponent shooting down the World Government flag and praises his marksmanship. He then transforms and reveals that he ate Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Wolf, and became a wolf man. He offers to end the fight quickly by ripping out Sogeking’s throat, but the sniper swallows his fear and prepares to fight.

They are interrupted when the ceiling above them collapses. Zoro falls down, along with a large giraffe. Kaku, who was trying to transform into his beast form, became a full giraffe instead. Jabra laughs at his friend’s new form while Zoro wonders if Enies Lobby is a zoo. While Jabra and Kaku argue about his new form, courtesy of Ushi Ushi no Mi, Model: Giraffe, Sogeking hides and determines that Zoro could take them both. Looking around, he finds several unused pairs of seastone handcuffs.

Kaku tries his transformation again and finds his giraffe form. This scares Zoro, who says that Kaku looks funny. Jabra can’t stop laughing, even if he tries. The scene is briefly paused as Sogeking tries to throw a pair of seastone handcuffs at one of the beasts, but lands them on one of Zoro’s wrists instead. He says that he was distracted by Kaku’s beast of a man form. Fed up with the taunt, Kaku spins on the arm, then uses a Rankyaku neck slash that shoots all over the place, an attack he calls Amanedachi. Those present barely dodge.

The attack cuts the Tower of Justice in half, with the top half of the tower sliding away to reveal the garden room to the sky. Kaku smirked at his handiwork as he silenced the naysayers.
