Summary:

As David and Goliath turn, the Franky Family and Galley-La Company take down Kashia. Spandam receives an incomplete report on Monkey D. Luffy and believes that he is no longer a threat. The members of CP9 meet Spandam, except it’s more of a comedy routine than a reunion. Rocketman is ready to enter the island.

Even after the Kairiki Destroyers are defeated by Oimo and Kashii, the Franky family members continue to fight the giants. With Mozu and Kiwi’s Ship’s Bottom Dismantling Cut, Paulie’s Rope Action and Zambai’s bazooka, Kashii is finally defeated. Peepley Lulu and Tilestone are then nailed. Oimo then takes on the remaining fighters while Luffy takes out five hundred soldiers himself.

Meanwhile, the members of CP9 come together for their first full reunion in five years. Fukurou measures the physical strength of CP9 members. He is shocked to learn that Lucci is the strongest, measuring 4000 doriki (a unit of strength where the average soldier is 10 doriki.) Jabra complains that he was inferior to Kaku, and he and Lucci begin to bicker.

After the CP9 members finish fighting, they are approached by Spandam. He praises them for taking down Nico Robin and Cutty Flam. He mentions a reward he intends to give them, but is not currently giving it to them. Meanwhile, Robin reflects on the happy times she spent with the Straw Hats.

Outside the city, Luffy continues to be pursued by the Marines and the World Government as Rocketman prepares to arrive at Enies Lobby.
The following scenes are added in the anime:
Nico Robin remembers his time with the Straw Hat Pirates while waiting outside Spandam’s office.
Ending up in a dead end in the city, Luffy uses his Gomu Gomu no Fusen to climb between two buildings.
At the beginning of the episode, the Franky Family ship is accidentally labeled as “Frnky” and “Eranky” instead of “Franky”.

Episode Strengths: Action-Packed and Thrilling: The episode promises interesting movement sequences, providing Luffy’s rampage in opposition to the marines and the Franky Family’s combat against the large. Introduces New Adversaries: The episode establishes the Gates of Justice giants and guidelines at the looming risk of CP9, elevating the stakes for the Straw Hats. Focuses on Luffy’s Strength and Resourcefulness: The episode successfully portrays Luffy’s giant strength and determination to triumph over any obstacle. Weaknesses (Optional): Limited Character Development: Due to the focal point on action, the episode gives minimum character development for the Straw Hats beyond Luffy and the Franky Family. Predictable Plot Progression: Viewers acquainted with shonen tropes may find the basic plot factors – overwhelming enemy, protagonist’s show of power – relatively predictable. Overall: One Piece Episode 266 is an exciting and motion-packed episode that advances the Water 7 arc. It introduces bold new foes, showcases the Straw Hats’ energy and resourcefulness, and leaves viewers keen to peer how they navigate the demanding situations that lie in advance. While the episode might lack in man or woman development for a few viewers, the interesting battles and cliffhanger finishing efficiently hold visitors engaged.
