Summary:
Enel removes all the restrictions the priests had. Usopp witnesses a mysterious shadow repairing the ship, and the next day the Going Merry is found in its original form. The ship is removed from the altar and the Straw Hats carry out their plan.
Usopp, wanting to urinate and too scared to go alone, asked Zoro to accompany him, but Zoro refused. Usopp was walking alone and noticed that someone was repairing the ship. Shocked by the mysterious shadow, Usopp passes out only to be found by Zoro the next day. Enel summoned the priests, but they began to fight each other to see who was the strongest of the three priests. While they were arguing among themselves, they were asking where Enel was and a flash came and Enel appeared.
Enel reveals to the priests the purpose of the Straw Hats coming to Sky Island and tells them that Shandia will also attack and therefore the Upper Court is open to the priests without any area restrictions. He also told them that the Ark of Maxim was ready. Gan Fall ponders what Enel’s plans might be, and Wyper rekindles his determination to take Enel out.
The next morning the Straw Hats realize that their ship has been repaired. They wondered who could repair the ship given their location. Usopp wondered how the repairman was able to repair the ship correctly to the original design. Eventually, Usopp and Chopper begin trying to get the ship off the sacrificial altar. Usopp used Chopper as bait to lure the sky sharks to use their power to pull the ship. Nami split the crew into an exploration team and a domestic team. The prospecting team would go in search of gold and the other team would sail on a ship that they would then escape from the Upper Yard. With that they set off and so did their enemies.
This is the last episode of FUNimation’s adapted dub to air in the United States. The rest of the Skypiea Arc only aired in Australia. Thus, this is the last episode of One Piece to be shown on Cartoon Network’s Toonami original block before it ends on September 20, 2008. The block will return in May 2012, finally bringing the series back in an uncut format. but skipped to the Long Ring Long Land Arc, with the first of the episodes in high definition.
This episode featured the first appearance of Klabautermann, which Usopp witnessed late at night.
