Summary:

The Straw Hats are still trying to catch Southbird. However, the bird launched an offensive against them by turning the forest against them. Meanwhile, Bellamy and his crew arrive at Cricket’s place to take his golden treasures. Sarquiss and the rest were easily defeated by the Saruyam Alliance, after which Bellamy decided to join the fight. Bellamy easily defeated Cricket, Shoujo, and Masira using his Bane Bane no Mi ability. Their gold was stolen and Bellamy’s crew finished it off with another offensive against the Saruyam Alliance as Cricket said they had no right to touch the gold. On the way back to his ship, Bellamy continued saying that in the new era, he must understand that dreams don’t come true. Cricket then told him that “a chick who doesn’t have the guts to fight something she’s never seen shouldn’t be telling me about pirates”.

The Straw Hats gathered after being chased by various animals created by the Southbirds. The bird finally came towards them and Chopper unloaded the bird so that it would never be caught. As Usopp was about to shoot the bird down, Robin captured him with her Hana Hana no Mi. Returning to Cricket’s house, the Straw Hats find that they have been beaten. Usopp mourned how their ship was damaged. Luffy tried to ask Cricket what happened, but Cricket refused to tell him, only apologizing and saying that there was nothing they could do – referring to their easy defeat. At that moment, Nami told Luffy that the gold had been stolen. Cricket stated that it does not matter that the gold is stolen. Usopp scolded him that Cricket had spent 10 years body diving to get the gold.

Cricket convinced them that the Saruyama Alliance had a duty and that was to get the Straw Hats to Sky Island. During the call, Zoro noticed Bellamy’s mark on the Going Merry’s hull and pointed it out to Luffy. Luffy then decided to fight them and Zoro asked if he needed a hand and Luffy said no he would be fine. Nami said that Luffy shouldn’t go since they only have 3 hours to sail. Cricket tried to stop him by talking, but Zoro offered him a katana, saying that Cricket would need it to stop Luffy. Luffy then told them that he would be back by dawn.

After relieving himself, the drunken customer thought about the newspaper, but dropped it. He picked it up and realized it was a stack of wanted posters. He recognized the faces of Luffy and Zoro while browsing the posters and laughed when he saw their rewards thinking he was too drunk. He was extremely surprised that their rewards were so high that they were higher than Bellamy’s.

Luffy went to Mock Town. Meanwhile, Sarquiss recounted an event that occurred between their crew and the Saruyam Alliance. Soon a drunken man who picked up the wanted posters came into the bar and showed them to everyone in the bar including Bellamy. Bellamy tried to counter the poster that there are pirates trying to increase their bounties and their opponents are afraid and won’t fight them. He was referring to Luffy and Zoro’s event where he defeated them earlier in the day. As the bar patrons tried to justify the situation, Luffy arrived and shouted Bellamy’s name, asking where he was.
