Summary:

The episode begins with Usopp fantasizing and talking to himself about how everyone will welcome him to the Little Garden. Then Zoro (who is on the lowest deck) grabs an apple from a barrel full of them, bites into it, and asks Usopp if he’s an idiot. Usopp responds to Zoro by yelling that he heard what Zoro just said while kicking at the bottom of the wood where he is sitting. Nami yells at them both to be quiet and apologizes to Vivi. Vivi keeps explaining to Nami why there are no islands, but it’s easy to hit the reefs because of the raised coral (probably on the Grand Line). While they are talking, the scene cuts to Sanji cooking, and suddenly Usopp appears through the kitchen window, smiling (presumably because of Sanji’s food). Sanji lets the girls know that the desert is ready and as he serves it, Usopp shows up between Nami and Vivi. Sanji, in a crazy way, lets Usopp know that his food is “over there”. Later, Sanji asks the girls where Luffy is and Nami replies that she asked Luffy to get her water because she wants to take a shower. He then says that Luffy must be at the water drawing machine. Sanji comments, no wonder he was silent the whole time. Immediately after that, a loud noise is heard from the room and Luffy came out of it. Luffy then adds that he was just using the machine when it suddenly broke and Nami punched him in the head. Afterwards, everyone except Usopp is sitting around the table and while Nami is reading the paper, Luffy sees a picture of Koby appearing and asks Nami to tell him what the article says.

Koby and Helmeppo are amused by the amount of work the Marines seem to be doing at Marine HQ. Then they both hide in an alley and Helmeppo talks about giving up because the work there looks so hard for him to keep up with. Koby tries to encourage him to hold on, as Helmeppo told his father that he would outmatch him no matter what. As they talk about why they shouldn’t run, Vice Admiral Garp appears behind them. Suddenly they both fear what Garp will do to them. Koby tries to justify his statement by clarifying that he and Helmeppo will do whatever Garp orders and that they are ready to die.

The scene then cuts to a “Sea food” restaurant where Rika and Ririka are talking to the marines in charge of Shells Town. Rika picks up the bank, brings it close to the marine (presumably the one in charge) and starts hitting him in the head with two fists. She complains how she would like to spend more time with them. She also adds that she has been learning to cook so that she can prepare a tasty lunch for them sometimes. You can see her face crying before you can watch the two sprouts in pots (probably as an analogy to how much room Koby and Helmeppo have to grow since they joined Marine Command).

The scene then cuts to Koby and Helmeppo mopping the floor as Helmeppo complains about how doing chores will turn him into a sailor. It’s also notable that Garp guards them, so they wash faster. As night falls, you hear Koby and Helmepp’s conversation. Helmeppo comments on how Vice Admiral Garp was called “Garp the Fist” and was quite feared by everyone. Then he talks about how if he wants to be stronger, faster, he has to build his body overnight. Koby disagrees with this idea because it probably overloads the body due to the need for sleep. Helmeppo doesn’t seem to be listening, and since he’s already going down, Koby joins him. It looks like they have been training hard for a long time. One day they talk about Luffy and Garp listens. Garp takes them to the beach to test their mentality and they pass his test. Garp gives them special training and they seem to follow it. The scene cuts back to the Straw Hat Pirates and everyone is asleep except for Nami. Nami watches Vivi sleep and puts the newspaper in a drawer. Luffy gives the order to sail to Little Garden in his sleep and the crew boys agree with him even though he is asleep.
