Summary:
The Straw Hats reflect on their past adventures. They gather on the living floor, ready to battle the All-Stars and Tobiroppo.
Big Mom rolls out of the castle and down the entrance steps, spotted by Perospero. Meanwhile, Sasaki’s chains break his submission. Sasaki swears revenge on Denjiro for betraying him.
At the top of the Skull Dome, Kaido and Jacka’s troops fight against the Minks. Although Jack fights Minky, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi take over and transform into their Sulong forms to confront him.
Inside the castle, Luffy and Zoro meet on a platform and intend to go to the roof to face Kaidou. They try to shoot through a hole in the ceiling but are caught in the Queen’s dinosaur mouth and King appears as well. They are thrown from the balcony where they are confronted on the ground below by Jaki, one of the Numbers. However, Franky combines the two vehicles into the Iron Pirate, a giant robot. Franky operates the robot and shoots Jaki down with his cannon. Unscathed by King’s attack, Sanji emerges from the wreckage and removes his ambush suit. Although he is attacked by enemy troops, Luffy and Zoro fight to help him.
This is the 1000th episode of the anime and some features have been changed to indicate this:
The One Piece 1000 Logs logo was shown before opening.
The opening of the episode is an updated version of We Are!. However, in the Crunchyroll dub, the Japanese version of the song is used, but the dubbed dialogue is kept, albeit re-recorded, alongside Gold Roger’s dialogue, as similar to the seventh opening.
In the Home Release, the Da-iCE version is used in the beginning.
Eyecatcher is an updated version of the first eyecatcher.
As each of the Straw Hat Pirates attacked the Beasts pirates, clips of notable events involving them were shown (with the younger version of them transitioning into clips such as their story, meeting and bonding with Luffy, or major battles) ending with images of their a younger version of himself and the three main key events, moving to their wanted poster and the narrator stating their epithet and reward.
Usopp’s Skull Blast Grass attack is number 1000 in its explosion, marking the 1000th episode of the anime.
As Luffy declared that he would defeat Kaidou, there was a flash of images showing significant events that happened to the Straw Hats.
The words “Thanks” and “and…” were shown at the end of the episode before the “To Be Continued” screen. We hereby thank the fans for their support up to this milestone.
