Summary:
Yamato battles Sasaki and the Beasts Pirates armored division to protect Momonosuke. Meanwhile, Zoro tries to get rid of the Gifters, who have turned into Ice Oni, but Queen sets up a terrible game that involves an antidote to the virus.
The Ice Oni virus spreads across the living floor and affects several people. Queen performs a short sadistic rap about the suffering of the victims. Omasa considers killing himself to avoid becoming them, but Hyogoro dissuades him, reminding him how the Udon prisoners were cured of the mummy virus with straw hats. Queen, however, still in need of “excitement”, fire another round of Excite Bullets into the crowd.
The Straw Hats are now cornered by the infected oni. Chopper deduces that Queen must have created an antidote to cure the virus, so she must get it from him to develop a cure. Queen announces that the virus will kill its victims within an hour at most. Apoo tries to escape the living floor, but finds the gates locked.
Queen introduces a game she calls “Ice Oni Tag”; hands a vial containing a single sample of Apoo antibody. People must fight desperately for the antidote, otherwise they would inevitably become infected themselves. The Straw Hats must win this game and get the sample to cure everyone. Queen performs an alternative version of her funk dance with sadistic lyrics celebrating blood sport. He then starts the game and Apoo is chased by the mob for the bottle.
On the roof, Inuarashi and Nekomamushi attack Kaidou, but are knocked down by his spiked club and lose their Sulong forms.
In the right brain tower, Yamato decides to help Shinobu. He reveals that he attended Oden’s execution and heard Shinobu’s speech. Sasaki’s forces bombard Yamato with cannons, but he persists. Yamato apologizes for not saving Momonosuke from the burning castle twenty years ago and introduces himself as Oden.
The anime adds the following:
A scene of Inuarashi and Nekomamushi attacking Kaido, who pushes them back. The two Minks then revert to their base form.
Yamato’s face during Oden’s execution is briefly seen under his oni mask.
