Summary:

Luffy fights Crocodile by using the blood on his fist to hit Crocodile. Meanwhile, Vivi finds the bomb and summons the straw pirates.

Vivi and Usopp are together and Vivi has an idea where the cannon is hidden. Usopp signaled the other member of The Slam Hat Pirates (in the previous episode) with one of his slingshot bombs. But instead, billions of baroque works found them. To distract them, Usopp uses a blackboard and drags his fingernails across it to make a loud noise; grabs Vivi and runs away.

Meanwhile, Luffy discovers the whereabouts of Crocodile, Nefertari Cobra, and a critically injured Nico Robin. Crocodile is angry that Luffy is still alive, no matter how many times he beats Luffy. Cobra is confused as to who the strange boy (Luffy) is. Luffy demands that Crocodile return Vivi’s land to him so that Vivi can smile again. Luffy punches Crocodile twice and Crocodile is confused as to how he does it without water. Luffy used his blood to touch Crocodile to prevent Crocodile from using his Devil Fruit powers. The crocodile removes the cover from the hook, revealing that it has poison inside.

Zoro runs to where Usopp set off the smoke bomb. But he finds a group of marines who were with Tashigi. They scold him for having a poor sense of direction and then give him orders on where to go to find the center of Alubarna.

Vivi and Usopp are still running and are being chased by members of Baroque Works. Tashigi and several marines attack the men chasing Vivi and Usopp. Nami and Tony Tony Chopper find Vivi and Usopp with two minutes left before the bomb kills the royal army and the rebel army and everyone in the center of Alubarna. Pell is shot out of the sky by a mysterious frog woman hidden in the clock tower, who is later revealed to be working for Baroque Works.

Luffy and Crocodile continue to fight and Luffy dodges Crocodile’s attacks with his grappling hook. Cobra notices Crocodile struggling in the fight.

Vivi searches for Pell, thinking he is their only hope of reaching the cannon in time. Sanji and Zoro are in the clock tower. With 30 seconds left, the clock tower opens and Mr. 7 and Miss Father’s Day are laughing inside.

Weaknesses (non-obligatory): Limited Character Development Beyond Luffy and Vivi : The episode focuses in the main on Luffy and Vivi’s fights, leaving minimal room for man or woman improvement for the opposite Straw Hats. Frustration at Vivi’s helplessness (for some viewers): Vivi’s seeming helplessness on this episode might also frustrate some viewers. Overall: One Piece Episode 124 is a pivotal episode inside the Alabasta Arc. It provides an motion-packed combat sequence, well-knownshows a shocking revelation about the villain’s power, and units the level for a desperate race towards time. While the episode gives restrained improvement for a few characters and might frustrate viewers searching out Vivi’s more energetic function, it correctly builds tension, raises the stakes for the Straw Hats, and maintains visitors on the brink of their seats for the following bankruptcy of the tale.
