Summary;
After escaping from several naval ships, the straw pirates land on an uncharted island and meet an old man named Zenny. Chopper learns that Zenny probably only has three days to live due to his bad heart.
The Straw Hat Pirates are being chased by the marines and trying to avoid them as they keep firing cannonballs towards their ship. With the Straw Hat Pirates running low on food, everyone is starving and wondering if they will starve to death. A huge mist appears which Nami believes can be used to escape the marines. The naval ships begin to crash into each other as they hit the barely visible rocks on the surface that have just appeared after the fog. Chief Petty Officer Minchey orders his men to turn back due to the danger to the Marines. As the straw pirates pass thick fog and rocks, they see an uncharted island and hope to find food there. An old man is seen through binoculars, counting the Straw Hat Pirates as six people and an animal.
As the Straw Hat Pirates emerge from the shore, they spot a young goat, which they immediately identify as food. When they try to catch it, Nami stops them saying that it shouldn’t be eaten. Suddenly a crowd of angry adult goats surrounded the straw pirates. When the goats begin to attack, Zoro draws his sword and hints at killing them, but Chopper tells him not to since they are not bad, thanks to his ability to talk to animals. Chopper tries to reason with the goats and discovers that someone has ordered the goats to attack. Suddenly an old man falls out of a tree and points at the now transformed Chopper as a monster. They discovered that it was the man who had ordered the goats to attack.
The old man faints from fear of being cut by Zoro’s blade as he tries to free him from the branches he is stuck in. They take him to his shed where Chopper treats him. As the old man yearns for them to pay him back for what they did, Luffy finally tells them to help him. On Zoro’s hunt for food, he finds a strange pirate ship, which he tells the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates about later that evening after returning with fruit for food. They all go to the ship to investigate further. Nami states that he was once a pirate trying to escape the island with that pirate ship, which is more of a wreck than a ship. He also believes that he has a hidden treasure somewhere on the island.
Meanwhile, at Sea Captain Moore’s base, Captain Moore tells Minchey to organize a landing party to find and eliminate the straw pirates. On the island, Chopper discovers that an old man has less than three days to live due to illness. The next day, therefore, Sanji makes him a big dinner because of the few days he has left to enjoy his last moments. At the naval base, he discovers that the old man’s name is Zenny, and that he was washed ashore on the island 20 years ago with his believable huge treasure.
