Summary:
The Going Merry is disguised by Masira and Shoujo to be more capable of flight, and the straw pirates ride the Knock Up Stream and head for Skypiea.
The Straw Hats await Luffy’s return. Nami is very upset that Luffy is taking too long and that they might miss the Knock-Up Stream. At that moment, Luffy arrives. The Straw Hat crew sets off and Cricket tells Luffy that The City of Gold or Sky Island have not yet been proven to exist. He tells Luffy that they might laugh at him; however, that’s what romance is about. Cricket then thanks him for returning the gold.
Blackbeard’s crew has moved out and is looking for the Straw Hats to capture Luffy for his high reward. Luffy starts making fun of the South Bird, pointing out that the bird is really uncomfortable when it’s not facing south.
Once at sea, a Dark Cumulonimbus cloud is spotted and the Straw Hats and Saruyama Alliance head towards the cloud. The Straw Hats guide their ship towards the eddy to ride in the eddy current. Usopp, Nami. and Chopper begin to lose their temper as they enter the vortex and beg Luffy to come back. However, Luffy is too excited to let them. Just as they reach the center of the vortex, the currents disappear and Nami explains that the main event is about to happen. While waiting for the tidal current, Blackbeard’s pirates catch up with the Straw Hats and Blackbeard tells Luffy that he is there to get his Beli 100,000,000 head. Luffy, unaware of the surge, questions Blackbeard about this before Blackbeard holds up the poster for them to see, as well as Zoro’s bounty to Beli 60,000,000. Usopp confirms that it was the new bounty poster and informs Luffy and Zoro of their amounts, with Nami figuring that the new bounty must be a result of what happened in Arabasta. Both Luffy and Zoro are pleased with their high rewards.
Just as the Blackbeard Pirates were preparing to attack, the Knock-Up Stream explodes and the Straw Hat’s ship travels downstream towards the Cumulonimbus Cloud with the help of Nami’s exceptional navigation skills. Meanwhile, the Blackbeard Pirate’s ship is smashed to pieces, leaving them stranded in the ocean.
This is the last episode of Jaya Arc.
