Summary:
Nico Robin and Franky take down some marines, Buster Call arrives. and while the fight between Luffy and Rob Lucci continues, the Gear 2 effect ends.
Freed from her sea stone bonds by Franky, Robin returns to her normal self. With no way back, the two decide to capture the ship that Spandam intended to use to transport Robin to Marine HQ. Unfortunately, Vice Admiral Doberman, one of the Buster Call responders, arrives. His battleship fired at the palisade and blew a hole in it. The Doberman’s next attack is a shot at the Tower of Justice, causing its already broken top half to crumble into a waterfall. Usopp narrowly escapes when he crashes into the chasm below, taking the damaged drawbridge down with him. Zoro and Sanji realize that with the Gates of Justice fully open, the waterfalls surrounding the island have disappeared as the current of water no longer needs to bypass them. This will allow the battleships to make a clear path to Enies Lobby. The resulting loud noise reaches Luffy and Rob Lucci under the Bridge of Hesitation. Luffy’s use of Gear 2 is starting to take its toll on him. He is panting heavily during his activation and then Gear 2 disappears completely during his fight. Lucci discovers that Luffy is doping up blood by using his legs as pumps, a move that would cause a normal person’s heart to explode due to excessive blood pressure. It’s a move that only Luffy can use due to the durability of his unique rubber internal organs, but it risks shortening his life. Unconcerned about the damage he will do to his body if CP9 tears his life apart by taking his friends away, Luffy yells at Lucci for making light of his crew’s plight as if it were a game. Anticipating the Straw Hats to emerge through the underground passage, Lucci punches a hole in the wall of the underwater chamber and floods it and the passage. Meanwhile, Nami catches up with Kokoro, an unconscious Chopper, Chimney, and Gonbe in the hallway, and Zoro and Sanji are about to do the same, unaware that the stream of water is headed straight for them. Spandam desperately calls on any marines she can find to save his skin and try to stop Robin from escaping, but she and Franky easily defeat the reinforcements. However, both sides have now run out of time. From the horizon, the other Buster Call ships arrive and target the entire island, only ignoring Nico Robin on Admiral Aokiji’s order. Oimo and Kashii flee the Enies Lobby with the Galley-La boatmen and the Franky family in tow as cannon fire destroys the court island. Robin watches in great fear as her old nightmare returns for revenge.
