Summary:

Franky chased his swimsuit to the Straw Hats’ new ship, but still refuses to go with them, requiring some more “convincing” from Robin and Iceburg. As he works on it, Zoro and Sanji find that their time in Water 7 is getting more and more limited.

Franky stands on Scrap Island after chasing her swimsuit across the water 7 to the Straw Hats’ new ship. He demands that Luffy, who currently has his swimsuit, return it. Although somewhat humiliated when the townspeople yell at him for being a “pervert”, he still proudly opposes leaving, even brazenly posing in front of the ship. The townspeople cover their children’s eyes and Luffy is impressed by Franky’s determination. Nami just says that Franky is a pervert, much like the townspeople called him. However, Robin has an idea and asks if she can be a little rough with him. Luffy remembered Iceburg telling him that they might have to.

With Luffy’s approval, Robin uses the Dos Fleur Grab to grab and squeeze Franky’s testicles. He screams and starts thrashing himself in terrible pain. All the townspeople and the people on the new ship cower as Robin tortures him. Mozu and Kiwi wail to pluck them like ripe fruit. Franky is brought to the ground in agony. Luffy protests that he still wants Franky to be a man when he joins the crew. Robin replies that pirates shouldn’t let go of treasure they find without a good reason.

Franky continues to protest that he could not leave the island and that he no longer wishes to be a boatman; the Straw Hats’ ship would be his last. At this point, Iceburg comes out and says that he remembers Franky’s dream growing up to build the ultimate ship and sail it as its shipwright. He then suggests that Franky’s real intention in not leaving was to atone for Tom being taken to be executed in Enies Lobby. Iceburg tells Franky that even though he and Tom have forgiven him, Franky must also finally forgive himself. As Franky breaks down in tears, Iceburg says it’s time for him to start living his dreams again.

Franky Family throws him a bag; they had already packed his things. Zambai apologizes for letting him run through Water 7 naked, but they just looked at him and wanted him to be happy. By now Robin has stopped grabbing him, though he continues to roll over the piles of junk as if in agony. She also says she only squeezed him once. His tears flow for a different reason as he remembers how he built the Franky Family by gathering the villains and the poor of the town, taking them under his wing and recruiting them to defend Water 7. In desperation, Franky asks his family how they would do without him they could survive. The group tells their “big brother” that they have learned enough to keep Water 7 safe in his absence and will always be his followers.

Suddenly Zoro and Sanji run through the group and down to the ship. Zoro alerts Luffy that his grandfather, Vice Admiral Garp, has returned and is after them, despite his promise to leave them earlier. Sanji notices that Franky is still not wearing pants, and Luffy throws his swimsuit back at him. Franky shows his confidence again and says that the Straw Hats were amateurs at repairing ships and a ship as big as their new one would be a shame without a proper shipwright. With that, Franky agrees to join their crew. Franky’s last memory is of Tom and the construction of the Sea Train. Leaving the Galley-La Company and the Franky Family behind, he strikes one more pose before jumping aboard. Sanji reminds Franky to put his swimsuit back on.
