Summary:
When Luffy is finally revived, Emporio is informed by Ivankov about Iva’s background. It is also stated that Ivankov is the leader of the revolutionary army with Luffy’s father, Monkey D. Dragon. Meanwhile, Inazuma makes clothes for Luffy and returns his straw hat. Meanwhile, at level 6, Ace is taken into custody to be sent to Marineford for his execution. Back at level 5.5, Luffy, Ivankov, and Inazuma exit and enter level 5. While fending off a wolf unit attacking them, they reach the entrance to level 6. As they run down the stairs, they are attacked by guards and traps.
As Luffy is cheered by the crowd, Mr. 2 passes out. It’s not because of his injuries, but because of the way he encouraged Luffy when he yelled. Later, Emporio Ivankov discovers that Bon Kurei has come to save him, but states that it is not yet the right time to escape, as the Revolutionary, Monkey D. Dragon, has not yet made his move.
Luffy tells Iwa-chan that Dragon is his father. After Ivankov gives his speech, he finally realizes that Luffy just said that he is the son of a Revolutionary. He is thrown back in surprise. He then asks where Luffy is from. Luffy replies that he is from East Blue. Ivankov gasped, remembering how the Dragon always headed east wherever they were. From this he then deduces that if Luffy is Dragon’s son, then so is Portgas D. Ace.
Ivankov then states that he is Drak’s friend and that is why he was arrested. He supports Luffy whether he likes it or not because he can’t see his friend’s own son dying in front of him. After Luffy passes out, Ivankov injects Luffy with energy hormones using his Horu Horu no Mi ability. Later, Luffy, Ivankov, and Inazuma are seen running through Level 5 and entering Level 6.
Meanwhile, Magellan takes Ace to Marineford for his execution. Also outside the Impel Down the Marine, Vice Admiral Onigumo is waiting outside for Ace and Magellan. At the end, it is declared that there are only 6 hours left until Ace’s execution.
