Summary:
While Luffy is on his way to save Ace, everyone at Marine HQ prepares for the execution. The current Shichibukai and the three admirals are summoned to prepare for Whitebeard’s attack. Either way the Shichibukai or Admiral is introduced, there are a number of recap clips related to the character, with the exception of Akainu, who is still a mysterious entity.
On the stolen sea ship, the pirates talk about their last meal and Buggy appears in front of Jinbo and Luffy. He asks how much longer it will take to reach Marineford and is ignored and Buggy wants to bring down Marine HQ. He is also sure that the Marines and Shichibukai are no match for him.
At Marineford, two marines call out to the Shichibukai, who are about to abandon Maria Jois. Moria calls Whitebeard a fool, and three hours before the execution, the Shichibukai Marines are called in to fight Whitebeard’s pirates.
Kuma fought the Straw Hats before on Thriller Bark and Sabaody and won and never faces Luffy again. Doflamingo says that Mihawk wants to get his hands dirty. Mihawk fought Don Krieg’s crew as well as Zoro in Baratie in East Blue. After an intense duel between him and Zoro, the black-clad Shichibukai won. After his defeat, Zoro was spared and had the courage to overcome Mihawk himself.
Moria calls out that she has to hurry and tries to steal the shadows of the Whitebeard Alliance. Like Kuma, he fought the Straw Hats in Thriller Bark, but suffered a crushing defeat against Luffy’s Third Gear. When Doflamingo and Hancock were summoned, he met Luffy and chased after Momong’s party. She fell in love with Luffy after he defeated her sisters Marigold and Sandersonia.
As Hancock hopes for Luffy’s safety, Donquijote Doflamingo has yet to meet Luffy’s crew. In Mock Town, he encountered Bellamy’s crew and forced Sarquiss into submission before Bellamy swore loyalty. He wants to build a new age of stronger pirates and laughed madly at his intention. The extent of his power remains to be seen.
Elsewhere in the Sengoku building, Aokiji is awakened by a marine. He fought the Straw Hats and nearly executed Nico Robin before using his ice powers. Luffy bought time for the rest of the crew to get Robin to safety despite the admiral’s overwhelming powers. It’s not lunch time at the moment because Aokiji was just joking.
Kizaru is called without lunch. As Sabaody left the crew with terrible results, he fought the Straw Hats. Rayleigh bravely delayed Zoro’s execution and fought the light admiral. On his journey, Kizaru knows he must put duty before food.
In Sengoku’s office, a mysterious Akainu stands before his superior. With the execution three hours away, the guards are to escort Ace to the scaffold.
