Summary:
Luffy and Zoro take on Shuzo and Momonga. The Straw Hats, Lily, and her father manage to escape using the Coup de Burst and the anchor attached to the Thousand Sunny. Shuzo defeats Momonga and the marines before going after the Straw Hats. He prepares to fire his own men like torpedoes at the island the Straw Hats are on.
Several of Shuza’s men appear and fight the marines and begin to overpower them easily. Luffy continues to fight Shuzo while Zoro fights Momonga. The vice admiral declares that they should not meddle in their business like this. Zoro uses his 360 pound cannon, sending Momonga back and destroying the naval ship. From the sidelines, Nami notices the changes in the waves in the ocean and realizes that the Thrust-up Stream is coming. When Usopp asks what it is and asks if it’s similar to the Knock-up Stream that brought them to Sky Island, Nami says that it is, but it’s smaller, but still has enough power to destroy a naval ship. He has Franky shoot the anchors to the Panz Fry boat and the others are on and lets Sanji and Lily know ahead of time. Luffy has a hard time against Shuzo’s fighting style due to his long arms, but then starts using Haki to overpower Shuzo again.
As Robin, Chopper, and Brook head back to the Sunny, several blast jets take out several ships and one of the jets sends Usopp flying back to the ship in a shark dive. As Nami had everyone board the ship, she had Franky use Coup de Burst after the raft each got close to the turn and they flew away. However, Luffy and Zoro fall due to the raft breaking and Luffy uses his arms to grab the raft while Shuzo uses the knife with the Vivre card attached to it on the raft.
After they get away, Momonga gathers his men on the broken ship and laments that they got away again, while Shuzo goes to finish off the marines with an attack and defeats Momonga. He then travels to the Straw Hats location and recalls his past fight with Ain. Their fight lasted over five hours until she was victorious, prompting their leader Z to give her the victory and the title of next command. Shuzo is determined to become the new next commander and destroy the pirates.
The Straw Hats land in place around some rocks and Robin comments that they will be safe for now while Nami is happy that the plan worked and that they are finally out of the sea. Chopper works on Panz Fry and notes that he had some serious injuries and that he will be fine if he rests. Lily thanks Chopper for helping her father and the rest of the crew. Luffy is excited to try Panza Fry’s cooking and Lily reveals that she took some food from the marines, and while Zoro notes that it’s strange, he changes his tone after seeing that she also took some sake. When Luffy asks Panz Fry to make some food, Sanji kicks him saying he needs to rest and Chopper says that Luffy wasn’t listening. However, Panz Fry says he will cook for them, despite Lily’s protest that as a cook and a giant he was saved by the crew and would be ashamed to refuse the request. He then thanks Luffy for saving him and says he will cook the food.
Shuzo arrives at the location and notes that they are out of torpedoes. Several of his men offer their lives to be used as kamikaze torpedoes, prompting Shuzo to acknowledge their sacrifice and say that they are true men. He then declares that he will not let their deaths be in vain. The ships then prepare to attack the Straw Hats.
