Summary:
With his last breath, Ryu summons all his dragon buddies and the Lost Isle resurfaces. Meanwhile, Luffy takes out Nelson and his gang.
Luffy tries to encourage Ryu to live after being taken down by the cannons. While doing this, the Marines, ordered by Nelson, throw the harpoon; to their surprise, Luffy manages to grab it and send it back to the sea ship, breaking some parts. Moments later, Ryu stands up decisively to issue a loud call to the other sennenryu. It is only later that Luffy seems to understand Ryu and agrees to relay Ryu’s message to Apis. After that, Luffy sends out his Gum-Gum Rocket and grabs the neck of the Millennium Dragon passing by. He then unleashes his battle ax aimed at Nelson’s large ship. Luffy’s leg is able to break the ship in two and all the marines retreat, terrified by Luffy’s powers.
The ocean near Warship Island until Warship Island itself begins to shake in what everyone believes is an earthquake. Then the water begins to recede and the island re-emerges with it. To everyone’s surprise, Nami learns that the sennenryus are not called by this name because of their longevity, but because they are migratory creatures that come to nest every thousand years. That nest is the Lost Island, so named because of the enormous amount of time that passes before the island is available. The Sennenrys begin to land and you will see some of their ancestors petrified, covered in coral. This is the so-called Dragonite that Nelson and Eric were looking for.
Almost finally, Ryu is lying on the ground with his head submerged in water. Apis screams because she doesn’t want to lose him. Luffy tells Apis that Ryu died to make his dream come true, but Apis yells back that Ryu was a liar, that he promised her that he would get better once he got to the nest. Luffy comments to Apis that sennenryus are reborn in the nest. Just a few seconds later, a baby sennenryu hatches from the egg, the baby (presumably Ryu) yells something at Apis, to which he agrees. Finally, Eric looks soaked and Nelson is happy to see him, he offers Eric a deal, but Eric is too furious and slashes him with his Devil Fruit power. The Straw Hat Pirates look back to see what just happened and see Eric combing his hair like ice cream.
