Summary:
Smooth seas spread before the Straw Hats as they leave Punk Hazard far behind – but as they fear Doflamingo’s return and prepare to face him, another enemy lurks, whose powers could be their downfall!
The Thousand Sunny is still in the water when a massive sea creature bearing the breed emerges from the waters. While the rest of the ship’s inhabitants sleep, Usopp, Franky, and Chopper are still searching for Doflamingo, when suddenly Breed and his army of Sea Lapahns attack the Thousand Sunny and everyone on board. In response, the Straw Hats and everyone else begin fighting at the Sea Laphans when Breed suddenly calls off the attack and reveals himself atop the Thousand Sunny.
After Breed kidnapped Caesar, Luffy attacks him but is stopped by Kung Fu Dugong using a fist infused with Busoshoku Haki. Breed escapes with Caesar while Law tries to use his powers to stop him. When Law tries to use Room, he is interrupted by the Sea Lapahns rocking the ship. As they all turn they see a massive ship the size of an island where Sanji notices a Jolly Roger resembling Breed. Law, Luffy and Chopper decide to board the Shark Submerge III and go after the Breed.
As they leave, Chopper asks Luffy if he recognizes the Sea Lapahns, saying that they look just like the Lapahns on Drum Island. Law asks Chopper if that’s why he joined them and calls him a tanuki. Chopper starts yelling at Law, but Law notices the Sea Lapahns entering Breed’s ship. The pirates exit the Shark Submerge III and into Breed’s ship, with Law warning Luffy to be careful. Just then, Luffy decides to yell at Law that it’s not that dark where he is. Law, Luffy, and Chopper head to the middle of the ship, but are suddenly attacked by Sea Laphans, Boxer Octopus, and other sea creatures.
They are successfully fighting the sea creatures when the Kung Fu Dugong from earlier arrives and tries to attack Luffy. Luffy defeats Dugong when Dugong remembers that he lost to Luffy in a fight in Arabasta Kingdom. She excitedly jumps over to Luffy and starts hugging him. Meanwhile, Caesar is seen locked in a cage with handcuffs from Seastone. When Breed enters the room, he asks if someone can free him. Caesar recognizes him and asks if he can be released to see Doflamingo. However, Breed just tells him to stop whining and calls him worthless scum, making Caesar realize that Breed doesn’t work under Doflamingo. Breed explains his plan to create a kingdom full of pets and that he needs Caesar’s help to do so. However, Caesar refuses to help Breed and Breed uses his ability on the scientist.
Elsewhere, Luffy catches up with his Kung Fu friend Dugong and trains him. As the leader of the Sea Beast Pirates, Dugong apologizes to Luffy for attacking him and explains his journey since leaving Arabasta. He explains that upon arriving in the New World, Breed enslaved his crew. Suddenly Breed started talking into the intercom and ordered them to fall into line. Panicking, Dugong tells them to run quickly.
When Breed arrives and reprimands Dugong for disobeying him, he sees the Straw Hats and the Law and explains that he is a pirate. He attacks Chopper with a green substance that turns into a collar when hit. Breed then orders Chopper to attack Luffy and Law, and Chopper eats the Rumble Ball and transforms into a Monster Point. Charged with energy, he attacks his former allies, distracting them and allowing Breed to fight them as well.
