Summary:
As Thunder Soldier, Kabu, and Rampo progress through the castle, they encounter and battle Gladius. When Soldier tries to escape, Gladius grabs him and is about to blow him up, but Soldier is saved by Luffy. Luffy, Viola, and Soldier escape and make it to the Suit Chamber, watching as Doflamingo demands information from Law.
At the trading port, Leo and his dwarves try to poison Sugar again, but Trebol stops them and Sugar attacks them with her toys. Robin subdues them so Leo can poison Sugar, but Sugar turns Robin into a toy by touching his arm.
On the first floor of the royal palace, after fighting several of Doflamingo’s men, Rampo, Kabu and Thunder Soldier were captured by Gladius. Two dwarves tried to attack him to make the Thunder Soldier escape, but the officer caught them effortlessly. Gladius then attacked them with his devil fruit abilities, knocking them out with arm-ripping blasts. He then went after the Thunder Soldier, saying that he couldn’t run away like a toy. He attacked the soldier from behind and blew up the soldier’s head while explaining his abilities. Just before it exploded, Luffy threw the Gladius Jet Stamp away, saving the Thunder Soldier from certain death. Luffy was about to continue fighting the officer, but Viola pulled him away, saying that Gladius was too dangerous. When Gladius saw Viola, he screamed about her betrayal and exploded his helmet, injuring her with the helmet shards, and managed to injure Viola, forcing Luffy to carry her. Viola, Luffy and Thunder Soldier not seeing any stairs to go further up they jumped out of the window and Luffy used his leg to comfortably drag himself to the second floor outside the suit room. When they overheard Doflamingo trying to get Law to tell him what the Straw Hats’ plan was, Luffy asked if he could attack Doflamingo, but Viola refused and told him to wait while the Thunder Soldier put his faith in Usopp, to go with the plan.
After losing sight of them, Gladius encountered Kin’emon, disguised as Doflamingo with Wicca hidden in his pocket. Fooled by the disguise, Gladius informed him that Kanjuro had disappeared from the scrapyard.
At the underground trading port, Robin used her devil fruit powers to try to knock out the sugar with the spice the dwarves were about to use. Unfortunately, she let her guard down for a moment and Sugar touched one of her arms and turned it into a toy.
Trebol has had enough and attempts to crush the dwarves with a boulder as Usopp watches in horror
The anime adds the following scenes:
Thunder trooper saving Ramp from one of Doflamingo’s growls.
Leo’s group is making a last ditch effort to complete the SOP operation.
In the manga, Robin was only shown as a toy in a small flashback.
The preview for the next episode is shortened from the usual length.
