Summary:

Luffy and Zoro face off against Fujitora to get to Doflamingo. At the palace, Pica wishes to take the enemies out alone, but his high-pitched voice causes some of the underlings to giggle, leading to their deaths. Robin’s group continues to run from the former toy slaves and intend to head to the royal plateau. The fight with Fujitora ends when Pica emerges from the ground as a giant golem. When he speaks, Luffy bursts into hysterical laughter, which results in him punching Luffy, causing a large shockwave that sends him and Zoro flying.

Luffy demands that Fujitora move, but he refuses, to which Luffy puts down Law and engages in a fight with Fujitora, putting his arm in Busoshoku Haki.

At the palace, Doflamingo hears about Luffy fighting Fujitora and Pica offers to take down all their enemies. Pica offers to defeat all of their enemies himself, but Pica’s shrill voice catches the underling off guard and he struggles to hold back his laughter as another hastily tells him that laughing will kill him. Doflamingo says that there is no need to rush, as he is confident that his game will cause the citizens to choose the Donquijote family over the Riku family. When Pica starts to answer, the subordinate can no longer control himself and starts laughing. This immediately catches the attention of Doflamingo and the higher ups, much to the soldier’s dismay. When Pica is about to bury the underling in a rock for his laugh, Baby 5 shoots him instead to prevent Pica’s anger from getting out of control and knocking the underling off the platform. Doflamingo explains that he lost his mother at the age of 8 and killed his father at the age of 10, and since the managers shared his joys and sorrows with him, he will not tolerate his family being laughed at.

At the coliseum, Robin’s group continues to evade the former toys and pursue their bounties, with Bartolomeo and Hack supporting them. Robin discovers that a landscape shift has placed the coliseum next to the King’s Plateau, so they head there to meet up with the others. While Viola finds the key to Law’s handcuffs, she is happy to see Rebecca downstairs as Tank Lepanto protects her. The commotion on the island attracts everyone’s attention until eventually Pica himself emerges from the landscape and towers over the island. When Luffy says that he will deal with those who stand against his family, he starts laughing at the high pitch of his voice, which infuriates Pico. The soldiers of Doflamingo’s crew yell at Luffy to stop laughing at Pico as he has a complex from his high voice. Enraged, Pica then aims his fist at Luffy, and as the citizens flee in fear. Issho notices that something bad is happening, although he doesn’t perceive what exactly. As Luffy, Zoro, and Law run away from Pica, the other two tell the first one to stop laughing at Pica, even as they try not to laugh themselves. Pico’s fist then hits the ground, destroying many buildings and throwing the pirates into the air.
Issho’s second confrontation with Luffy and Zoro is prolonged.
In the manga, Issho was only seen clashing swords with Zoro. In the anime, Luffy also tries to attack Issho.
When dealing with a subordinate who laughed at Pic’s voice, Baby 5 used an explosive shot in the manga. He uses gatling shots in the anime.
At the Colosseum booths, Hack wondered where Sabo went in the manga. This is omitted in the anime.
The anime adds the following scenes:
While running through the Colosseum, the dwarves briefly dropped Usopp when they clapped for him after he said he was a star, and dropped him again when they clapped for Robin after she created a path to the old king’s platform.
Hack is shown fighting some villains from Dressrosa who are after Doflamingo’s targets.
Viola uses her devil fruit powers to find the key to Law’s bonds.
Tank Lepanto rescuing Rebecca from the villains who were looking for her reward.
As Luffy ran away from an enraged Pica, he tripped and fell.
One of the Donquixote Family’s subordinates at 9:28 (right after Doflamingo mentions his father’s death by his own hand) is seen wearing a mask with an arrow that resembles Sky Bison from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
