Summary:

rebol immobilizes Luffy and Law and explains how he and the other three Donquijote managers found Doflamingo and raised him to be the man he is today. Law taunts Trebol, causing the manager to attack him in anger. However, Law defeats him and as a last resort, Trebol causes a large explosion. Luffy, Law, and Doflamingo manage to escape and fly towards the Flower Field, and Luffy gives Law to Robin, but Doflamingo attacks her.

After his confrontation with Doflamingo, Luffy is sent to the roof of the palace and is caught by Trebol in a large pile of slime that immobilizes the pirate. Trebol tells Luffy that he will deal with him later, but now is the time for Doflamingo to kill Law without resistance. Desperate to fight his way out of the slime, Luffy attacks Trebol with Busoshoku Haki. However, despite breaking through Trebol, the director just laughs. Luffy expresses his confusion as he thought Trebol was Logia, but Trebol challenges this assumption. Law tells Luffy that it’s no use because Trebol is a papier-mâché man. Law states that he was glad he left the Donquixote Pirates because otherwise he would have had to work with people like Trebol. This angers Trebol, who pins Law to the ground with slime.

Trebol then heads towards Law and pushes Doflamingo out of the way. He tells Law that Doflamingo is the absolute king and that 31 years ago he and three other managers discovered him and gave him power. 31 years ago, Trebol, Vergo, Diamante, and Pica confronted Doflamingo after the boy used Haoshoku Haki on a mob that lynched his family, saying he was chosen by heaven and offered the power to avenge him. Doflamingo then killed his father and prepared to take his head to Mary Geoise so he could become a World Noble again. Later, the four managers confronted Doflamingo again after the boy failed to return to the World Nobles and was nearly killed. The managers offered to make Doflamingo king if he gave them their dreams as well.

Later, Doflamingo sat and tended to the wound. Trebol found him and found that Doflamingo had been wounded by a man in the city. The executives then entered the building the man was in and confronted him about hurting Doflamingo, to which the man confessed. Trebol then shot the man and others around him and told the man they were Donquijote’s family as the man passed out. The Managers later proceeded to fire into the city that Doflamingo liked to claim, capturing several important people before blowing them up along with their building. Later, Diamante saw Doflamingo scrape his knee, which happened when the boy fell on a bumpy road. The leadership proceeded to set fire to the entire city containing the road, and as Doflamingo stood in a pile of rubble, the executives bowed before their king. As time passed, Doflamingo and the managers went wherever they pleased and the citizens hid in fear when they arrived.

In the present, Trebol tells Law that Doflamingo and the Managers have maintained a strong bond as they recruit new crew members, and prepares to set fire to the law-binding slime. Law just mocks him and says that Doflamingo has been using them since the beginning. This infuriates Trebol, who jumps on Law despite Doflamingo ordering him not to, as Law activates the ROOM. Trebol decides not to ignite the slime and instead kills Law in the most painful way possible: by thrusting his staff into Law’s throat. However, Law says that he was a pirate captain and because of his pride he couldn’t leave both Trebol and Doflamingo to Luffy as he telepathically raises his severed arm still holding his sword. Law turned it around and slashed Trebolo into the manager’s chest. When this happens, the dwarves at the SMILE factory suddenly feel as if a weight has been lifted from their hearts. However, Franky tells them to focus and get out of the destroyed factory as the Birdcage was approaching. Trebol writhes in pain from the attack as the slime that covered him slips away, revealing him to be a very thin, hunched over man. Doflamingo angrily berates Trebol for his stupidity, and as a last resort to kill Law, Trebol spits mucus on his lighter, causing a massive explosion.

The warriors on Flower Hill and the Royal Plateau react in shock to the explosion, and Viola looks inside the flames. He is pleased to reveal that Trebol has been defeated, leaving Doflamingo as the only enemy as he escapes the flames with Luffy carrying Law. Robin sees them and is shocked at how injured he is. Luffy sees Robin and throws Law down to her and Robin catches him with his powers. However, Doflamingo is still intent on killing Law and fires string bullets at Robin. Luffy tries to stop him but is too late as the bullets fly towards the Flower Field.
