Summary:
In the castle courtyard, Tamago regenerates into a stronger form with chicken features known as Viscount Hiyoko with her Devil Fruit power. Pedro fights Hiyoko and manages to defeat this form, but before Hiyoko regenerates into a stronger form, Pedro ignites a string of bombs and tries to destroy all nearby enemies with a massive explosion. In the Treasure Room, Brook’s sword is unable to pierce Big Mom’s skin and he is eventually defeated, but not before he manages to injure Prometheus. Outside the room, Smoothie hears about Luffy’s escape and orders the floors below to be blocked off so Big Mom doesn’t find out. Pudding then arrives and Big Mom reveals to Brook that she can awaken the ability to read Poneglyphs with her third eye. Pudding asks Big Mom if they can talk in her room.
Downstairs, Luffy battles Charlotte Cadenza in her race to find Sanji and knocks out the pirate after choking him for Sanji’s location. At the infirmary, Reiju encourages Sanji to escape and let their family die, revealing that the explosive cuffs on his wrists have replaced the goons, allowing him to leave without consequence.
After being cut in half, a giant yolk flies out of Baron Tamago’s body. To his surprise, a seemingly victorious Pedro watches as the yolk transforms into another version of Tamago, which is covered in yellow, has a chicken’s beak and wings, and wields two daggers. The Big Mom pirates around them cheer as Tamago’s new form, Viscount Hiyoko, attacks Pedro and makes croaking noises. Hiyoko is an improved swordsman and chases Pedro away with quick attacks that the jaguar mink has trouble keeping up with. Hiyoko goes so fast that he becomes a whirlwind of motion and manages to knock Pedro’s sword away and send him quite a distance. Pedro lunges for his sword and Hiyoko quickly gives chase, but Pedro retrieves it in time and cuts Hiyoko in half, releasing the yolk from his body again. Hiyoko’s crewmates cheer at the upcoming evolution, revealing that he will transform into Count Niwatori with the power of Tama Tama no Mi, allowing him to evolve every time he is destroyed. He claims that Niwatori is a “true knight” who will surely defeat Pedro. However, Pedro decides to attack him mid-evolution, much to the shock of the Big Mom Pirates. They charge at him, but he pulls out a string of bombs which he immediately ignites, sending them running in fear. Pedro then sets off a massive explosion that sends the pirates and Count Niwatori flying, seemingly engulfing himself as well.
In the Treasure Room, Brook is close to his limit against Big Mom, but he deploys a charge to complete his task. Big Mom made Zeus and Prometheus attack him, but Brook resisted their lightning and fire as he flew past them in a blaze of fire and hit Big Mom with his sword. However, to his shock, his attack only slightly pinched Big Mom’s skin without penetrating it. Big Mom retaliates by slamming him into the ground and Brook can’t get up. However, when Zeus and Prometheus attack him even more, he unleashes a prone attack, managing to cut Prometheus open despite the homie being made of fire. Big Mom then finishes off Brook by smashing him against the wall, and as she captures him, Smoothie overhears Luffy rampaging through the castle as he stands outside the room. Smoothie knows that Big Mom will not take kindly to further events threatening tomorrow’s wedding and that she might take it out on them, so Smoothie orders his subordinates to block off the entrance to the fourth level from all levels below and deal with the problem without me he said to big mom.
Inside the room, Brook is undressed and the Chess Soldiers find no stolen items in his clothing. This improves Big Mom’s mood around Brook as she cuddles him as her new pet and praises him for defeating her Chess Soldiers. However, she reveals that he was unable to overpower her special pals, Zeus, Prometheus, and Napoleon, as they were made from pieces of her own soul. Relieved that he wasn’t trying to steal the Poneglyphs, she reveals that Gol D. Roger managed to sneak in and read them with his ability to hear the Voice of All Things, allowing him to reach the Tale of Laughter. She planned to become the next Pirate King as she now had the key to being able to hear the Voice of All Things as well. Pudding then enters the room and Big Mom asks her if she has awakened her third eye ability yet. Annoyed, Pudding says that might be impossible since she’s half-breed, and Big Mom says that the third eye is just an ugly feature on her if it can’t be useful. Brook is surprised to hear about Pudding’s third eye, and the two catch a glimpse of each other and recognize each other. Pudding, surprised that Brook made it here, asks Big Mom if they can talk in private in her cabin.
Meanwhile, Luffy continues to fight his way through the Whole Cake Chateau to get to Sanji. He runs into Charlotte Cadenza, who wants to stop him. Recognizing Cadenza as one of the two fighters who defeated him in the Battle of Sweet City, Luffy attacks him, but Cadenza is able to hold his own with his Busoshoku Haki. However, when Cadenza attacks, Luffy gets behind him and puts him in a nitrate, ordering the pirate to tell him where Sanji is. However, Cadenza refuses to say so, causing her to fall unconscious. Meanwhile, Reiju begs Sanji to leave the infirmary, saying that the Germa are nothing more than warmongers trying to reclaim the past and deserve to be erased from history. Although she holds this view, she also accepts her death as she was programmed to be forced to obey her father’s orders and guilty of participating in Germa’s actions. However, he wants Sanji to live on with his conscience and return to his home of the Straw Hats. Reiju believes that since Big Mom wants Germa’s technology, it is unlikely that she will target Zeff. As Sanji still hasn’t left, Reiju then reveals that she replaced the exploding handcuffs on his wrists with fake ones, allowing him to return to Luffy without fear of repercussion. As Luffy battles several Big Mom pirates who have come to attack him after Cadenza’s defeat, Sanji regains his resolve.
