Summary:
Big Mom fights Chopper’s tank. Denjiro’s southern forces advance and prevent Sasaki from splitting. Meanwhile, Ulti runs into Luffy.
Big Mom recognizes Chopper as the Straw Hat and chases his tank into the canyon, with her forces preparing cannons and mortars to fire on the tank. Although Chopper returns fire, destroying the cannons and mortars, Big Mom throws a missile at the tank from above. The tank is unharmed, but is sent flying. Chopper takes the opportunity to shoot Big Mom in the head and then throws another explosive into Big Mom’s mouth. Big Mom is still unharmed and drives the tank away.
Kanjuro comes to Orochi with an unconscious, beaten Momonosuke. He states that Momonosuke tried to escape by cutting the rope with a knife, but was beaten unconscious by Kanjuro. However, Kanjuro reports that he failed to thwart the plans of the nine red sheaths and that the allied forces are in Onigashima. However, Fukurokuju reports that since there were no enemy ships in the harbor, the island was safe from enemy attack. Still, Orochi prepares to execute Momonosuke to damage enemy morale.
Marco’s ship approaches Onigashima. He states that he is joining the raid on Oden’s name.
Denjiro leads the southern forces up a mountain path only to discover that the map is out of date as they come across an unmapped gate. Sasaki leaves the gate and recognizes Kyoshiro, unaware that he is Denjiro. Although Sasaki trusted Denjiro, Denjiro’s men ambushed Sasaki and bound him with Seastone chains. From there the southern forces split into two groups; one would enter the Skull Dome while the other continued down the path.
Since Big Mom was lured away, Kin’emon’s forces are able to come out of hiding safely. They make progress, but Nami’s group is spotted by Prometheus. Meanwhile, Ulti insists that the First Page carry her down the hall, but they fall down the stairs and bump into Luffy.
The anime adds the following:
Chopper tries to fool Big Mom by telling her that he is on patrol at the banquet, which she initially believes until she remembers who he is.
By the time Denjiro’s group captures and ties up Sasaki, the chains are said to be from Seastone as well.
Izou is revealed in this episode instead of later like in the manga.
Beasts Pirates underlings helping Big Mom kill Chopper and Usopp.
After Chopper and Usopp defeat the underlings, Big Mom tries to take the duo down by hitting the Brachio Tank V from above with a rocket-like weapon.
