Summary:

The chapter opens with the Straw Hats shouting about a ship that fell from the sky and asking what Sky Island is. Luffy and Usopp are excited about this “sky island” and Luffy orders the crew to go to the sky. When Robin shuts Luffy up and Sanji points out the fact that there is no possible way the ship could rise to the sky, she explains how she has never seen the sky island or heard much about it. Nami thinks that the logo’s position is broken, but Robin denies it, saying that they should start thinking about how to get to this sky island.
Meanwhile, Zoro looks at the ship that came from above and sees Luffy and Usopp on it. He asks Chopper what they’re doing and Chopper says they’re having an adventure. Robin explains to Sanji and Nami that no matter what happens, they are never to deny the Log Pose and that if there is anything in this sea that can be denied, it will be the sanity in their brains. He says that wherever Log Pose points, there is definitely an island. Nami shakes her Log Pose but still points up.
Robin retrieves a broken skull from a coffin in a ship that has fallen next to them and says that the holes in it are unnatural. Sanji thinks they’re made from wounds someone inflicted to kill the skull’s owner, but Robin says it’s from an old surgical method. Chopper agrees but says it’s a very old method. Robin explains how the owner of the skull probably died in his 30s about 200 years ago and probably died of disease on his journey. Based on the fact that the body is covered in rubber oil, they think it is probably a survey ship from South Blue. He finds the same ship in one of his history books and says it is a ship called St. Briss from the Briss Kingdom in South Blue, which set sail 208 years ago. Nami is amazed that Robin could read so much from just bones, but Robin simply states that dead bodies are full of information even when they don’t speak. He says that survey ships tend to have a lot of information, but the ship itself is already sinking.
Nami yells at Luffy and Usopp asking what on earth they are doing while Usopp tries to save the drowning Luffy. Back on the ship, Luffy claims to have found an amazing thing and shows everyone a map of the sky island. It says “Skypiea” and everyone is excited about the fact that the sky island really exists. Nami says that the map could be fake and that there is only a slight “possibility” that it actually exists. Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper react by giving Nami a grim look, and Nami says that there probably is, but then shouts that she doesn’t know how to get there. Luffy shouts that Nami has to do something because she is a navigator. This starts an argument between them. After beating up Luffy, Nami states that they need information first, as Robin said, and when Usopp shows that she’s already sunk, Nami tells them to save her. Zoro yells at them that it’s impossible, while Luffy and Usopp agree, holding a fishing rod and net. Chopper asks what a rescue is, and Robin explains, adding that yes it is possible for them to do that.
Usopp makes barrel suits for the Monster Trio and Nami says she’s counting on them. The three are launched into the ocean and Chopper asks for an answer to see if the audio link is working. Luffy says that there are a lot of monsters, Zoro asks if this ocean was a lair of giant sea serpents, and Sanji says that one of them is looking at them. Nami says OK, to Usopp’s shock. Nami says they’ll do something about it and Usopp is glad he didn’t go.
Then the Straw Hats hear strange singing voices upstairs and look closer to see the Masira Pirates singing “rescue”. Nami says that another strange group has appeared out of nowhere and Masira asks what they are doing in his territory. Masira, the captain of the Pirates of Masira, declares that anything that sinks into his territory is his, while the Straw Hats debate among themselves what they should do. Masira yells at them to answer his question and Nami says she has a question for him, much to Masira’s surprise. Masira lets them ask anyway, and when Nami asks if they’re going to save the ship, she mishears it as “monkey” and asks if he’s the awsomonkey. When they ask what “awsomonkey” means, he replies that it means “manley”, and they point out that there is no such word, while Masira blushes. Usopp asks again if they were going to save the ship, and Masira says of course they were. When they ask if they can ask, Masira lets them since the rescue was rare. Then one of Masira’s crew panics and tells him that another crew member who went underwater has been injured. Masira asks him if it was the sea king’s fault, but they reply that someone underwater did it. Masira is enraged and looks at the Straw Hats. Nami and Usopp try to explain, but Masira just warns them about the dangerous people underwater and they are relieved that Masira is an idiot. Masira orders her crew to begin rescuing, and the chapter ends with a demonstration of the Monster trio underwater.
