Summary:
The chapter opens with some bystanders commenting on the street that Bellamy messed up where Roshio died. One onlooker says that “Bellamy the Hyena” is definitely some kind of Devil Fruit user.
Bellamy enters the bar where Luffy is and asks if Beli30,000,000 is Straw Man Luffy. Other people in the bar gossip about how they can’t believe a kid like that has such a big bounty on his head. Luffy comments on how he met a lot of huge people today as Bellamy sits next to him and tells the storekeeper to get him an expensive drink and something that Luffy likes. Sarquiss and the others storm the store and kill people so they can sit where they were. Others try not to pay attention. Bellamy tells Luffy to drink and Luffy says “Oh, he’s a good guy!” and drinks. Nami and Zoro yell at Luffy to be careful, but it’s too late and Bellamy slams Luffy’s head into the counter. Bellamy’s crew laugh and the onlookers are shocked. Zoro furiously puts his sword to Bellamy’s throat. Nami tells Zoro to stop since they haven’t gotten any information in the city yet. Luffy gets up and tells Bellamy to get ready. Others cheer because they like to see fights. Bellamy laughs and says this is a test, not a fight.
Nami tells Luffy to wait and asks the storekeeper about the sky island, much to everyone’s surprise. The Straw Hats are confused. After an awkward moment of silence, the whole bar bursts into laughter. When Nami says that the logo pose is actually pointing to the sky, everyone laughs crazily, saying that Log Poses tend to go crazy all the time, which Nami embarrasses. Bellamy chuckles and talks about how stupid people are who have dreams. He says he was going to test Luffy and put him in his “New Age” crew, but Luffy is too much of an idiot to join. He talks about how people who have dreams are weaklings and hits Luffy with a bottle. Then other people start throwing things at Luffy, Zoro, and Nami as well, saying that their existence makes their rum taste bad and they get lost. Sarquiss tells Bellamy that the shop wants to see a “show”, to which Bellamy agrees. Nami tells Luffy and Zoro that they can forget their promise so they can beat up Bellamy, but Luffy tells Zoro to never buy this fight.
