Summary:
Tony Tony Chopper revels in his victory over the Gedatsu priest and happily proclaims that he is now a true pirate. He comments on how the priest is now stuck in one of his swamp traps, hoping to continue diving. Gedatsu is completely submerged in the swamp headfirst, unable to escape, while Chopper watches as he struggles. Gedatsu thinks how careless he was, disappointed in himself for losing to the “raccoon”. He tries to use his jet controls to escape, but only manages to propel himself further into the swamp, now completely out of Chopper’s sight. With the priest no longer a problem, Chopper decides that his first job as a “real” pirate is to find the gold instead of worrying about everyone else. When he stops for a drink of water, he notices the entrance to the ruins with an impossibly large beanstalk in the distance and wonders if everyone else is there yet.
In another area of the Upper Yard, Kamakiri and another Shandia warrior spotted a beanstalk as they raced through the forest. The beanstalk serves as their landmark that the ruins of Shandora are just ahead, as Kamakiri mentions that Enel is at the top. The Shandia warrior who was accompanying him suddenly lets out a costly cry. Kamakiri turns to see the warrior badly injured in Enel’s grip as he mockingly asks Shandia if he was looking for him. Kamakiri angrily shouts his name and Enel retorts that he must be called “Lord Enel” because he is God. Knowing of Shandia’s mission to kill him, he tells Kamakiri to feel free to try, even stating that he will sit idle for five minutes while the warrior tries his best. Enel tells him to try anything he wants because he will soon learn the meaning of “God”.
Aboard the Going Merry, Gan Fall and Nami take on God’s Army lieutenants Hotori and Kotori. Nami yells at the two to stop as they knock around Usopp’s unconscious body. They reply that they are simply getting revenge for Usopp’s role in defeating their brother Satori. Nami has had enough and tries to hit one of them with her Clima-Tact, but they absorb the blow with a dial in their left hand. He then places his right hand in Nami’s face and she is disgusted by the possibility of shooting and hitting at close range. However, only gas comes out as Nami sinks to the ground disgusted by the smell. He reveals that it was actually a flavor dial that had the flatulence stored in it. From this, Gan Fall deduces that they use four types of dials together. Hotori and Kotori confirm: when demonstrating each effect, they use the flame, axe, strike, and flavor dials affixed to their palms. The brothers wonder if they remembered and can identify which Dial is which as they repeatedly switch places to confuse Nami and Gan Fall. Sky Knight states that now that their dial types are identified, there is no need to wait. Nami says the weather is a “hurricane” and throws her Clima-Tact right at the two. They separate to dodge, mocking Nami for missing them. One of them attacks Gan Falla with a flavor dial, which he deflects by shielding himself with a cloak. He then sets the flame dial as Nami warns that the gas released earlier will cause an explosion. Rightfully so, a huge explosion is heard from the port (left) side of the ship. Part of Merry’s railing is blown off as the two brothers taunt the knight about being blown away. However, he is revealed to be hanging from the side of the ship, completely shocking them as he re-enters the fray. Gan Fall quickly incapacitates Kotori with his spear and calls them fools for underestimating him. As Hotori reacts in shock at what happened to his brother, he doesn’t notice Nami’s Clima-Tact returning from the previous throw, and is knocked from the back entirely of the ship by “Cyclone Tempo”. As Hotori falls, Gan Fall tells Nami to use his glove to finish him off as he holds his left arm in pain. Nami asks him if his wound has reopened, but he assures her that he’s fine. As Pierre hands her the glove, Nami asks what he wants her to do with it. He explains to her that she is equipped with an impact selector and tells her to use it as he instructed them earlier. While Nami worries about the gauntlet’s weight, Hotori rises from the sea, seething with rage at the defeat of both of her brothers (revealing that Kotori is the youngest). Nami notes that his body is now wet from the sea and the atmosphere is already humid. He fires a “cool ball” from his Clima-Tact when Hotori comments that he’s getting cold. He expresses exasperation at the attack, which seems to be doing nothing, feeling that he is being underestimated. Unbeknownst to him, Nami is actually urging him to use his flame dial and he agrees accordingly. Nami dodges and explains that the heat from his flames, in addition to the cold air she released earlier, will cause the vapor in the air to increase in density. He then uses “Fog Tempo” and completely immerses the Going Merry’s deck in thick fog. Blinded and confused, Hotori is completely helpless as Nami grabs hold of him in the mist and aims a rotary knob right in front of his face. It releases the impact and incapacitates Hotori as she is also knocked back by the force. She expresses frustration with Gan Fall for the pain that using the dial has caused her, but is still happy that she saved both the ship and the crew.
In another area of the forest, Nico Robin took some damage fighting Commander Yama of the God Army. He notes that she is not as strong as she pretends to be, as Robin pants heavily.
