Summary:
On the ruins of Ohara, some marines inspect the damage done to the island. There are no survivors left, but the lake is filled to the brim with books.
Elsewhere, Spandine examines the poster and, just in case, identifies the photo as Robin. She boarded a passenger ship far northeast of Ohara and escaped. Spandine remembers trying to chase after her as she escaped the Hound, but the helm suddenly froze. Kuzan claims that Saul had to let her live when he died. News of an eight-year-old girl named “Nico Robin” who can read poneglyphs, is wanted by Beli79,000,000 and is flying posters everywhere. A special marine team is in charge of finding her.
Robin returns to the old woman she came to stay with, only to find that the old woman has betrayed her with a price on her head. Another couple who allow her to stay with them question the danger she poses to them. When they read her reward, they find that she has already escaped. She stays with the pirate group, but when the marines show up, they look for her to hand her over to protect themselves. Robin is nowhere to be found.
Over the years, Robin is hunted and hunted. She is not even allowed to go into the store to buy anything and while she was on the run she found a Poneglyph and her search for Poneglyphs continued. At the age of 16, she was on the run for 8 years and used to consult betrayals until she finally found the Crocodile.
Robin ends her flashback. Robin continues to warn Spandam of the dangers of the Buster Call, but he ignores them as foolishness. Robin states that he wishes to continue with the Straw Hat Pirates, but he has a mortal enemy that he cannot shake. Robin says she’s afraid he’ll betray her in time. Spandam mocks Robin as a burden no one wants to have. He points to the World Government flag and mocks the Straw Hat Pirates. Just then, Luffy tells Sogeking to hit the flag with a shot, and he does so, burning it to a crisp.
To the absolute alarm of Enies Lobby, the flag is on fire and everyone gasps at what the Straw Hat Pirates have done. By burning the flag, they declared war on the world government. Luffy yells that it’s okay and then tells Robin to say it, the other Straw Hats watch Robin and wait. Robin is at a loss for words when Luffy asks her to ask for the one thing she never believed she would dare to ask for. She calls out that she wants to live and be pulled out to sea with them again.
The bridge begins to sink, Franky Family and Galley-La Company workers finally lower the bridge.
