Summary:
East Blue-Foosha Village
Garp returns to Luffy’s hometown only to hear that Makino’s bar has been overrun by evil mountain bandits. Those mountain bandits ended up like Dadan and her subordinates. Dadan sees Garp and whacks him with a wooden bat. Makino steps in between Dadan and Garp before she can attack again. Makino then states that “Garp couldn’t save both Ace and Luffy even if he wanted to” and “Garp is the one who is really suffering”. But as soon as he says that Dadan tearfully says “No… He’s really the one who suffers the most…!! He’s Luffy!!” Makino then remembers her very first meeting with Ace and runs away with her face full of tears. Once he leaves, Garp declares that Luffy is alive. For now. The last words that come out of Dadano’s mouth are that he will always support Luffy no matter what he does from that day forward and that it’s better not to lose no matter what.
The Great Line – New World
The crews of Whitebeard and the Red Haired Pirates said their last goodbyes to Edward Newgate and Portgas D. Ace at their funeral, where Marco thanked Red Haired Shanks for all he had done for him and his crew. Shanks says, “Even though he was my enemy, he deserved my respect. Even Sengoku knows that.” With that, Shanks and his crew quietly left. Shanks mentally tells Luffy that he needs to move on by tempering his emotions and shouting everything out, even though he’s a man.
Calm Belt-Amazon Lily
Jinbe tells Luffy to stop beating himself up about Ace’s actions but Luffy refuses and tries to punch him but misses. Jinbe then pins Luffy to the ground where Luffy bites him and Jinbe finally gets mad at Luffy and pins him to a rock. Tam says that right now his thoughts and journey are clouded by sadness, but one day he will find something he will never stop fighting for. At that moment he lets Luffy go and Luffy takes a moment to think. When he finally reaches his answer, his face is drowned in tears and he admits that he still has his faithful and loyal crew and that he wants to get back to them as soon as possible no matter what.
