Read One Piece Manga Chapter 625

Summary:

The chapter opens with a crowd gathered around the wrecked ship World Noble. Someone comments that the ship looks like it’s been attacked. Everyone is shocked to see the Heavenly Dragon at the bottom of the ocean. World Noble tries to order people. A man is on the ground, distraught over the death of everyone on board, and demands that someone bring him a flight helmet. The man is introduced as Mjosgard. He comments on how the island smells of fish men and orders a helmet to be brought to save his life. He orders people to get him a doctor, saying that he is dying. The palace guard asks where the medical teams are. Another replies that they will come, but they have to figure out how to handle him. Hody Jones says he needs to be killed and says he’s the worst piece of trash in the world. At the bar, someone comments on the noise coming from the harbor. The man is revealed to be Vander Decken IX and one of his crew members explains the wounded Sky Dragon. Mjosgard is upset about what happened to him. He has a flashback to when he was on the ship. He talks to his father who explains why they are going to Fish-Man Island. It turns out that some of the Sun Pirates used to be their slaves, so they head to Fish-Man Island to get them back.
A group of Sun Pirates approach Mjosgard, all holding weapons. Recognizing them as his former slaves, Mjosgard asks why they won’t behave and come home, asking who gave them permission to be free. All the pirates then turned their weapons on him, with one of them stomping on the noble’s pistol. The common citizens panic and say that the pardon the world government granted Jinbe will be void if he harms him. Mjosgard orders them to stop and asks if they know who he is? One of the pirates calmly tells him that the only thing keeping him afloat as a noble is the immediate presence and support of the marine admirals. If the people on the island had kept quiet, then Moisgard’s death could have been just another shipwreck incident. Mjosgard then realizes the gravity of the situation and how much the tables have turned against him. The citizens cheer the pirates on and say they will be silent. They then encourage the pirates to kill him saying that he is half dead anyway and that he would taste the pain he caused. Mjosgard objects, defending himself by simply claiming he’s a noble, but the fish man says he’s decided he can’t forgive him and shoots. Someone calls out to him to stop. Otohime then grabs the noble and pulls him out of the way, a bullet hitting the left side of her ribcage. Everyone is surprised that the bullet hit the queen. Otohime then orders everyone to drop their weapons as there are children watching. The pirate who fired and everyone with the children look on in stunned disbelief.
Jinbe is then seen talking to Aladdin, asking what happened to the sky dragon. Aladdin replies that he just arrived as well. Shirahoshi and her brothers appear behind Jinbe. Fukaboshi tells him that their mother just suddenly flew out of the castle. Shirahoshi asks Fukaboshi what a Sky Dragon is, and Fukaboshi replies that it’s human, just to be feared. Otohime examines her wound and sees that the bullet only scratched her. The man asks Otohime why she protected him, if she knew what the World Nobles had done to them in the past. Otohime tells them that she feels the pain in their hearts and knows the hatred they have for humans, but they can’t pass it on to their children, telling them to think about their future. Jinbe then remembers Fisher Tiger’s last words telling him to keep his hatred of humans a secret. Mjosgard raises his pistol. Manboshi yells for his mother to look outside, but it’s too late and Mjosgard already has a gun pointed at Otohime’s head. Shirahoshi calls out to her mother in fear, emitting sonar waves along with her screams. There is a crash from behind the wrecked ship and five sea kings appear, one of them begins to eat the ship. Everyone is amazed to see the huge creatures. The nobleman faints foaming at the mouth at the sight of the huge beasts. All the sea kings then leave. Vander Decken IX, after getting over the initial shock, is excited by what he sees and wonders if he has found a legend.
Shirahoshi is still crying. Jinbe wonders if her crying and appearance were a coincidence. Otohime is shocked by her daughter’s apparent abilities. Vander Decken IX then recalls the story of his ancestors. It was the legend of a mermaid princess who could summon a king of the sea that drew the first Vander Decken to the bottom of the ocean. Decken then calls out to his ancestors that he has managed to find the legendary mermaid. The two crew members with him are excited. Decken tells them to keep quiet as they are the only ones who know about the legend, if he does. Decken then thinks about how to become the husband of the princess. A crew member reminds him that Shirahoshi is just a child, and Decken realizes that could be a problem. Aladine looks at the unconscious World Noble as Otohime walks past him. He tells her that he will see to the man’s and her treatment.
A few weeks later, the nobleman is healed. Mjosgard angrily ascended the stairs to his ship and said that they (referring to them as cattle) dared to point their weapons at him and promised to regret their actions. This angers the guards. One wonders why he still holds a grudge after saving his life. He then says they can’t let him go home because it would endanger the island. Otohime then stops him saying that they have unfinished business and she tells him that she will come out with him. Mjosgard looks less than thrilled and the citizen asks what the queen is thinking. Neptune objects, saying he should go as far as talking to the nobles. Someone calls out to Neptune that the people would not miss the chance to capture him. Otohime objects, saying that it wouldn’t make sense for someone as strong as Neptune to go. He has to show that someone weak can survive on the surface to prove that there is nothing to fear. Her own child and the others object, while another child questions where she will go. Neptune tries to argue one last time, but Otohime tells him to trust her as his wife and to trust humanity. Mjosgard is furious that she invited herself to his ship like that. Neptune and his children look insulted. He then takes over the narration saying that the island is plagued by anxious and sleepless nights. Neptune tries to lift the spirits of his children. Mermaid asks Jinbe how Otohime is, and Jinbe tells her that all they can do is wait and believe in her. Someone comments that they want to hear her speak again. The past week felt like a hundred days. Otohime returns a week later. The narration states that she was able to calm the Sky Dragon. Everyone is happy to see him return safely. Otohime is seen holding a document that would become known as “Fish-Man Island’s Light of Hope”.
