Summary:
The chapter opens with Luffy, Zoro, Robin and Usopp facing a dragon. Luffy exclaims that the dragon just spoke, but Usopp says he can hear things as he runs away. As they are still preoccupied with the dragon, he unleashes a blast of fire that everyone narrowly dodges. Usopp is shaking with fear while Luffy and Zoro are excited to face the dragon. Luffy uses a jet gun which doesn’t have much effect on the dragon and Luffy realizes that her stash is really heavy. The dragon then smacked Luffy with his tail, with quite a lot of force. Zoro then lunges at the dragon, but when the dragon speaks again, it interrupts and extends its head to bite, which Zoro narrowly escapes. Zoro then uses a technique called ‘Ultra-Hunt’ which shakes the dragon a bit, but the dragon quickly recovers and tries to bite Zoro again, which he blocks, but states that the dragon is very durable and strong. An enraged Luffy then emerges from the wreckage and kicks the dragon, surprising and injuring it. Zoro tells Luffy that he heard it speak, while Robin and Usopp also witnessed it speak.
The dragon then takes off and uses another fire breath attack, asking if they are allies of “that” Shichibukai. The Straw Hats hide under rocks and walls, Usopp freaking out even more as Robin asks if he has a grudge against the Shichibukai. Luffy and Zoro are found making “the plan”, with Luffy jumping up to knock the dragon down. Catching him, Luffy realizes that he is hot and the dragon tries to knock him down with another blast of fire. Luffy stumbles and rolls on the dragon’s body, exclaiming that it’s hot, and finds a pair of legs sticking out of the dragon. The dragon then tries to bite Luffy, but accidentally bites his wing, causing him to yelp in pain and fall. Zoro then starts charging forward yelling at Usopp who is using Trampolia and jumps out using a technique called Iai Shi ShiShi SonSon and cuts off the dragon’s head. As they fall, Luffy starts laughing and says that the dragon looks amazing. Zoro then says that they could have a flame barbecue on the island.
Back at the Thousand Sunny, Sanji finishes eating for Nami and calls her, only to find everyone asleep with some gas floating around. Sanji, realizing it’s not a fog, tries to contact Luffy by reaching for the Den Den Mushi, but is himself put to sleep by inhaling too much gas. A group of strange individuals in hazmat suits with the letters PH appear and capture the crew, except for Brook. They mention the master to whom they are taking their captives.
Back on the island, the group tries to pull the person out of the dragon skin. After successfully extracting the “person”, he discovers that it is only a pair of legs and thinks he has been killed. The legs are revealed to be alive, so the whole group stares. Robin points out that there was no trace of his upper body, while Usopp states that he is quite tall. While the crew was left confused, the legs began to attack them, but they immediately fled to the unknown Shichibukai. The chapter ends with Luffy calling her to join his crew and Usopp telling him to drop it.
