Summary:

The Straw Hats learn more about Tonoyasu, who has no prior connection to the Kozuki family but wishes to join the fight against Orochi. He was forced to sell his daughter, Toko, to the Flower Capital, but his acts of kindness to everyone in Ebisu City caused him to be considered a saint.
In the Prison Mine, Hyogoro teaches Luffy how to progress in his Busoshoku Haki and they end up staying in the ring alone until morning while the Beast Pirates retire for the night. Raizo and Caribou then arrive, and Hyogoro is encouraged to reunite with the former, saying that there are tens of thousands of prisoners who would join the Kozuki family. Meanwhile, Big Mom’s group enters Udon.
Moments ago, Law left Ebisu City to save his crew members, criticizing Shinoba for not trusting them and breaking their alliance. In the present, Usopp wonders why Shinobu chose to blame the Heart Pirates for revealing the alliance’s secret messages, but Nami understands why he feels so strongly; both admit that they would quickly expose the alliance if caught. They then hear some men yelling hostilely nearby, and the old woman reveals that they are the former citizens of Flower Capital who were brought here yesterday. The first, Bungo, committed arson every night and bribed town officials to stay out of trouble. The other, Bongo, is a former timber merchant who profited from the arson by selling timber to people rebuilding their homes. The third, Bingo, was a priest who performed funerals for those killed by arson at a massively inflated rate. However, they all fell in love with Komurasaki and were deceived by her. The old woman then claims that everything she just said was a lie, but Nami doesn’t believe her and wonders who she is and how she knew Komurasaki. Usopp finally recognizes the trio from their attack on Komurasaki in the Flower Capital yesterday, and the woman says that although Tonoyasu has done his best to take care of them, they continue to cause trouble.
Inside Tonoyasu’s house, he notes to Kanjuro, Shinobu, Sanji, Robin, and Franky that the secret message was effective in spreading the news of the Kozuki family’s return, but it became too effective and led to the enemy understanding it. He asks them to tell Kin’emon that he will definitely join the final battle, saying that he has a busy week ahead of him as he thinks about what to do first. He then leaves and the Straw Hats ask Kanjur and Shinobu who he is. To their shock, they don’t know and didn’t want to be rude when they asked him if he was once someone of high rank. Yasu walks around the city checking on the citizens and their illnesses and giving them portions of food and water to consume. The old woman says that Yasu is able to make more money by selling his daughter Toko to the Flower Capital, and Toko gives him most of the money she makes. However, Yasu doesn’t want to keep the money for himself, so he shares it with the townspeople, which makes him absolutely loved by everyone.
In the Prison Mine, Hyogoro instructs Luffy to advance his Busoshoku Haki, telling him to let all Haki flow through his fist. Luffy punches Madilloman and many other Beasts Pirates out of the arena, but fails to project Haki from his fist. Luffy and Hyo continue to fight until night falls and the Pirate Beasts leave until morning, leaving them both in the ring without food. Hyo asks Luffy why he wants to fight Kaida, and after taking out the remaining guards with Haoshoku Haki, Luffy explains the existence of the Four Emperors and how he wants to defeat them all to become a Pirate King like Roger. Hyogoro recognizes Roger’s name from a pirate who came to Wano Country over 20 years ago, and is even more surprised when Luffy mentions Kin’emon’s name.
Caribou then sneaks into the sumo ring and Raizo appears from inside to explain the situation to Hyogoro. He reveals how his and Kin’emon’s group were sent 20 years into the future, and Luffy is unhappy to see Caribou angry at Raizo for accidentally stealing the keys to his bonds. Caribou begs Luffy to let him serve, claiming that he has changed his ways. Luffy accepts, which secretly scares Caribou even more. Hyogoro is ecstatic to hear the news of the Kozuki family’s return and offers them a service, and Raizo tells Luffy about the old man’s former status. Hyogoro reveals that there are four other sections of the Prison Mine, each as large as the one they are in, and in total tens of thousands of prisoners are held there. Most of them are only imprisoned for rebelling against Orochi, there are old yakuza bosses among many others, and this place has served as a breeding ground for hatred and rebellion that the government doesn’t see. Luffy plans to destroy the prison and get all these allies, though Raizo warns that it won’t be that easy.
Meanwhile, in the nearby wastelands, Big Mom and Chopper’s group have arrived at Udon. Big Mom complains about being very hungry and sleepy, and Chopper continues to worry as Kiku is excited about their arrival.
