Summary:
Currently, the Nine Red Sheaths have set sail for Onigashima. Kin’emon seriously considers the possibility that there is a traitor in their midst, and Kanjuro immediately reveals that there is. Born Kurozumi Kanjuro, he lost his parents during the persecution of his family. He was then recruited by Orochi to become part of the Kozuki family, and while serving Oden, he provided Orochi with information on everything the family was doing, including their plans in the present.
Three ships of the Beasts Pirates then arrive and confront the Sheaths, and Kin’emon decapitates Kanjuro, only to discover that it was a perfectly drawn clone and that the real Kanjuro was on the coast when he kidnapped Momonosuke to bring him to Onigashima. However, the Straw Pirates, Heart Pirates, and Child Pirates then arrive in their ships to attack the Beasts Pirates.
After some time, when Hiyori gave Denjiro the money she earned while working as Komurasaki to give to the poor, he warned her of her actions and asked her to put bags of blood under her clothes. He explained that Orochi has developed feelings for her and wants to prepare her for when they fake her death to escape Orochi’s eyes.
A few months before the present time, when Kin’emon’s group was transported to the present, Orochi was having a meeting with Kaida when he received word of the group’s arrival. As Orochi sent his men to watch the shores before their departure, Kaidou expressed his wish to capture them alive for questioning. Orochi then praised his spy and revealed to Kaidou the spy’s history and how they met.
The spy’s parents were part of a theater group and were killed before his eyes because of their connection to the Kurozumi family. Devastated, the boy wished to die, but was approached by Orochi, Semimaru, and Higurashi, who revealed that they got rid of his parents’ killers for revenge. The boy then agreed to follow Orochi, given the Devil Fruit and ordered to pretend to be loyal to the Kozuki family until death while Orochi plotted his revenge.
Orochi then claimed that the spy steals the funds from Oden and gives them to Orochi whenever he comes to borrow money, and that the wealth is the reason why he and Kaidou are now working together. Orochi then claimed that the spy was so determined to die playing his role, even during Oden’s execution, revealing him to be one of the nine red sheaths.
Back in the present, the Sheaths set sail on their ship, leaving Momonosuke in the care of Shinobu. Momonosuke packed them off to return from their suicidal quest, but Kin’emon, even though the 4,200 men he had gathered did not arrive, still hoped they would succeed due to their small numbers.
On the ship, the Pochevs began to wonder how their plans had been thwarted and realized that the spy might be one of them. Kin’emon stated that at this point it doesn’t matter who the spy is, to which Kikunojo disagreed and Kanjuro spoke up, wanting to clear things up.
Kanjuro then revealed himself to be a spy to the shock and disbelief of the other Pochevs. When questioning this revelation, Kanjuro claimed that he had no ill will towards them, he was only loyal to Orochi and revealed that he was a member of the Kurozumi family. Kanjuro tells them how he revealed their plot to Orochi when three ships with Beasts pirates on board appear in their path.
The pirates are quite surprised to see that Orochi was right about Pochev’s survival and came to collect Kanjur, and while he was distracted by their arrival, Kin’emon beheaded him. However, Kanjuro continues his monologue and reveals that the reason he is confessing now is because Orochi ordered him to bring Momonosuke to Onigashima, and Kanjuro is revealed to be back on shore holding Momonosuke as his drawing disappears from the ship .
Suddenly, the Beasts Pirates ships are attacked as the Thousand Sunny emerges from the high waves. At the same moment, Scabbards ship is lifted out of the water by Polar Tang and the other ship is attacked on the other side by Victoria Punk. To Scabbard’s shock, the Straw Hat, Heart, and Kid Pirates prepare to battle the Beasts Pirates in a sea battle fit for pirates.
