Summary:

In a flashback, young Wyper learns more about Shandian history from the village chief. He extends Kalgar’s rallying cries of “Rekindle the light of Shandora” to let his friend Mont Blanc Noland know that the Shandians are still there. Wyper listens intently as the chief explains that the bell never rang again, and how they later learned from their friends at sea that Noland had been executed. He was executed for insisting that the City of Gold actually existed and was publicly shamed as a liar at his execution. Since then, all stories of Shandora’s existence have been denied without exception. The Chief reveals that Kalgara never learned the truth about Noland’s fate until he gave his life defending the land, and that for generations the Shandians have sought to grant his wishes. Wyper interrupts, saying that when he grows up, he will ring the bell. Wyper asks if Noland will hear it. This brings the chief to tears and confirms that Noland will indeed be heard since they are so close to heaven.
In the present, Wyper watches in horror as Skypie is destroyed, while Enel continues to rain lightning bolts in all directions. Aisa insists that they must escape or be destroyed as well. Wyper wonders what right Enel has to take everything from his people. As Enel floats above the Ark Maxim, he spots a Shandian village. He claims that since the Shandian Ancestors came from the Blue Sea, they should go back to where they belong because he will send a powerful lightning bolt to the village. Houses, totem poles and other valuables are immediately destroyed, yet the statue of Calgary remains firmly standing. The Shandians watch in horror, having previously evacuated to a safer location.
On Angel Island, the White Berets are still evacuating citizens as quickly as possible to safety at sea. People are frantically running and screaming as lightning continues to cause unprecedented destruction. McKinley laments the tragedy that has befallen Skypiea and shudders at the thought of how much worse it would have been had they not been brought before Conis’s warning. At that moment, it appears that a large lightning bolt will completely decimate Angel Island. At the Going Merry location, Conis reflects on the sequence of events from her initial reporting of the Straw Hats to Pagaya’s injury at the hands of Enel.
Aboard the Maximus, Enel laughs sadistically at the chaos he has caused as he casts even more lightning bolts to destroy the island. At the Gate of Heaven on the White Sea, a few citizens notice that someone has fallen through the clouds. Enel takes his ship past God’s sanctuary, destroying it in the process, saying it no longer serves its purpose. The resulting debris from the explosion lands in the ruins of Shandor, near the unconscious Nola. Enel confirms that its only interest now is the golden bell. Coincidentally, Wyper asks Nico Robin about the bell, having heard her talk about it before. Realizing that Enel is headed there, he asks Robin about the location. He tells him that Giant Jack infiltrated the city of Shandora near the center of it, and the center is where the bell was originally placed, so the bell must be somewhere near the top.
Enel pauses for a moment and realizes that two “voices” are approaching him. Nami is on Luffy’s tail, who runs towards Enel under the impression that Nami is still aboard the Maxim. Luffy says he won’t let Enel escape.
