Read One Piece Manga Chapter 406

Summary:

The chapter opens with Franky and Fukurou still in the air, with Fukurou digging his way to the shore using Geppo while Franky holds on to his other leg. Franky tells him to hurry. Fukurou is upset because he doesn’t want Franky to tell him what to do and immediately shuts him up. Then he starts spinning in the air, swinging Franky around his legs. Fukurou then charges forward with Super Cartwheel Tekkai-dama, intending to crush Franky against the corner of the Tower of Justice. Franky realizes that if he doesn’t do something he will be blown to pieces and uses Franky the Centaur. He then locks both of Fukurou’s legs, preventing him from using them, meaning he cannot move freely in the air. Fukurou tells him that it doesn’t matter since he can’t do anything at this speed anyway.
Franky tells him that’s not quite true. He then brings his hands together and uses Miniature Coup de Cannon. Aims the blast in the direction it is aimed. The recoil from the blast is enough to cause Fukurou to lose all of his momentum. Fukurou realizes this, but Franky tells him it’s a good thing because they’re above shore now. Franky then fires a Coup de Vent at Fukurou at range as he stands on his chest. Fukurou is blasted into the ground, making a hole several feet deep in the shape of his body. Fukurou is defeated.
The scene changes to the inside of the Tower of Justice where Zoro and Sogeking are running away from Jabra and Kaku. Zoro asks if the #2 key to their bonds has arrived yet. Sogeking tells Zoro that he is tired and asks him for a ride on his back. Zoro says anything. Kaku unleashes a Shigan on the two pirates. He and Jabra then get into an argument. Jabra thought Kaku wanted to hit him with the Shigan. Kaku tells him it’s a false accusation, but he’d be more than happy to hit him if Jabra wanted him to. Kaku adds that Jabra got in his way from the start of the fight. Jabra retorts that he meant it and calls Kaku “The Herbivore”. Kaku tells him that he prefers meat.
As they argue, Zoro tells Sogeking his plan as they run away. The two would play Rock-Paper-Scissors and the loser would cut off his hand to get free. Sogeking is shocked that Zoro would think of something so crazy. Zoro tells him that the loser could simply pick up their arm, take it back to Chopper and have him sew it back on. Sogeking tells him that they aren’t stuffed animals and it doesn’t work like that. Zoro tells him he has another idea. Sogeking tells him he doesn’t want to hear it. Kaku and Jabra then look at Zoro and Sogeking. Sogeking is completely rigid. Zoro’s right wrist is wrapped in Sogeking’s bandages. Sogeking is at his side, holding Yubashiri’s hilt right in front of his face. Zoro tells him to hold still as he is now a sword. Sogeking asks for a lawyer, saying that one day he will sue Zoro for this, and begs Chopper to hurry.
The scene changes to Chopper and Kumadori. Chopper is amazed at Kumadori’s complete lack of self-control and how he’s gotten so fat in a matter of minutes. Kumadori then starts spouting random words. Chopper tells him that he’s not worried about him, he just needs something from him. Kumadori then uses a technique called Seimei Kikan. Suddenly he is back to his normal weight and size. Chopper is shocked by what he just saw. Kumadori tells him that after spending a thousand years in the ocean and another thousand in the mountains, he breathes the air and drinks the dew, completing his training for the hermit life. As a result, he acquired the Seimei Kikan technique. Kumadori goes on to say that there is no part of the body that humans cannot control by channeling consciousness into each part of the body.
Chopper remembers reading something about Kumadori’s powers. Chopper asks him if he is part of the ability to move his hair like an octopus. Kumadori gets angry and tells Chopper to call him manly. She then tells him to call him a manly lion. He then uses his hair in the Kamishabari technique. Chopper dodges and realizes he’ll be done if he grabs his hair. Kumadori then uses Sora. He reappears above him and Chopper can’t find him. Kumadori then uses Shigan: Cue and brings his staff at Chopper. Chopper dodges at the last second, shocked to see that a stick that wasn’t even sharp could make a hole in the floor. Kumadori then tries to accidentally stab Chopper. Chopper gets angry and hits Kumadori with a heavy gong as he was about to use Tekkai.
Chopper injured his hand when he punched him. He realizes that he won’t be able to deal any damage unless he uses Arm Point or Horn Point. But he remembers the dangers of using the Rumble Ball too soon behind him. The second ball would throw off the transformation and the third ball would knock him unconscious. He thinks he can get stronger once more. Kumadori uses Shishkebab and tries to impale Chopper. As Chopper runs away, he realizes he’s just wasting time and eats the Rumble Ball. He tries to use Horn Point but is caught. The same thing happens when he tries to use Jumping Point. As Chopper lies on the ground, he realizes that he can’t control his transformation. He thinks that if he could get to Arm Point, he could use Kokutei.
Chopper realizes that the room is becoming dangerous from the flames created from the battle and that he must find Key #2 to help Zoro and Sogeking or they cannot get Nico Robin back. Kumadori calls him tenacious and uses the Seimei Kikan to make his hair take the shape of a hand. Chopper tells himself that he has to do this, that he can’t be defeated here, and that he is the crew’s hope. The chapter ends with Kumadori hitting Chopper in the stomach with a Shigan.
