Summary:

As the Straw Hat Pirates leave Thriller Bark, they are waved off by the residents of Thriller Bark, who thank them for all they have done. As the Straw Hats leave, Lola seems to see something in the fog, but her companions say it doesn’t matter anymore. They then begin to tell the story of the Straw Hats as three large figures loom ominously in the fog behind Thriller Bark.
Meanwhile, freed from the Florian Triangle, the Straw Hats continue towards Fish-Man Island, said to be “paradise at the bottom of the ocean”. On the Thousand Sunny, Nami questions Luffy’s decision to leave Ace alone despite his burning the Vivre Card, but Luffy says it’s fine. Brook joins in and states that he doesn’t mind going the alternate route, but Luffy, who says that Ace hates being looked down upon, decides to continue on his current path. Sanji says that the Vivre card will be fixed once Ace is healed and gives the crew drinks to celebrate the arrival of their new crew member, Brook.
In Mary Geoise, Sengoku berates Bartholomew Kumo for allowing the Straw Hats to escape. Garp laughs at his grandson’s actions, but Sengoku talks him out of it and continues by telling Kuma that he should have at least gotten Luffy’s head. Garp says that Luffy isn’t the type of person to brag about defeating Moria at Luffy’s hands, but Sengoku, still angry, tells Kumo that because of his failure, the Straw Hats are closing in on Marineford. Garp interrupts by offering tea and cookies to Sengoku, who yells at him again.
On the Thousand Sunny, the crew passes a number of strange phenomena, including raining candy, a round rainbow, a sea raccoon, and spiral currents. A few days later, the crew arrives at the red line and discusses the monumental achievement that it is. The crew says they need to be careful on the World Government’s doorstep, but soon Chopper and Usopp are swimming in a pool protruding from the Soldier Dock System and Zoro is lifting weights. Nami and Franky are on deck talking to Luffy, Brook and Robin who are below the surface in the Shark Submarine. Once they reach a depth of 5,000 meters (the limit of a submarine), they encounter a sea rabbit and are forced to escape to the surface. As the crew contemplates their predicament in reaching Fish-Man Island, a submarine surfaces, followed by a sea rabbit. With a surface advantage, Luffy quickly dispatches the beast with Gomu Gomu no Rifle, causing it to spit out the two creatures on the Thousand Sunny. When they land, it turns out to be a starfish named Pappag and a mermaid who claims to have been swallowed twenty times by sea monsters. Camie, the mermaid, offers them some takoyaki, but suddenly realizes that since she’s not in the store, she can’t sell it to them.
