Summary:
In the New World, the broker is amazed at how Caesar Clown was able to capture the Shichibukai Trafalgar Law, the captain of the once again active Straw Pirates, “Devil Child” Nico Robin, and Grand Vice Admiral Smoker. Killer also tries to alert Eustace Kid to them while watching the broadcast, only for his captain to make an amused comment about Luffy’s return. He then tells Killer that there’s no point in watching and how he doesn’t think Killer should be working as a broker anyway. Kid also mentions that he’s surprised that Law was actually planning something the whole time, believing he had become the government’s top dog. He asks if the people have arrived yet, and Killer tells him that they have and that he’s surprised they came at all. Before entering the room, Killer reminds Kid to be friendly, causing the Captain to become irritated and tell Killer to shut up. Upon opening the door, Scratchmen Apoo and Basil Hawkins are revealed to be inside. Standing between the broken room and over one of Kid’s badly beaten subordinates, Apoo tells Kid that it’s nostalgic to see his ugly face. Kid immediately becomes enraged and asks what gave him the right to destroy someone’s hideout. Apoo replies that when the enemy invites him, he comes expecting a fight and that he suspected there might be a sniper somewhere. As the two challenge each other, Hawkins declares how foolish the meeting is and leaves. Killer asks him to wait as he steps in between Kid and Apoo, reminding them that the three crews came together to try to form an alliance and asks that they at least try to discuss it.
At Punk Hazard, Luffy is curious about Law’s idea. Beneath their cage, the Marines continue to panic about the incoming gas and call out to their superiors for help. Luffy asks if anyone in the cage can burn things and tells Law that Franky can, mentioning that he even has a ray cannon. Franky replies that he needs both hands to use his Radical Beam and instead tells them that he can only use Coup de Boo now. Law asks him to burn the battleship, which he promptly does with Franky’s Fireball. From the inside, Caesar watches and wonders what they are doing, calling them desperate while commenting that their corpses are useful later. Outside, smoke from the burning ship begins to surround the cage, obscuring the view of all onlookers. Taking his chances, Law removed his chains, explaining that they needed a smoke screen to cover the fact that they were escaping.
Luffy questions how Law was able to remove the seastone chains so easily, only for Law to continue to explain, mentioning that they were normal chains that he put in the lab to escape in case he was captured. Law then frees the pirates and wonders aloud what he should do with Smoker and Tashigi as he returns them to their own bodies. Realizing that her breasts are exposed, Tashigi tries to hide them with her knees, begging Law to release her from her chains. Law tells Smoker that he has no reason to save him, but if Vergo loses his position due to Smoker coming back alive, it would be good. He tells Smoker that he will only release him on the condition that he forget everything he learned about him and the Joker. On the balcony below the cage, Luffy calls out to Law how they can get inside. Surprised, Law worriedly asks how Luffy said goodbye, with Franky telling him that the net isn’t made of sea rock. He yells at Luffy not to do anything himself and then they escape from the cage.
Meanwhile, Zoro, Sanji, Brook, and Kin’emon are seen still barely passing the oncoming gas. Commenting on the comedic way they run, Kin’emon notes that it doesn’t help them. Sanji then starts to back up as Nami’s body is at its limit and instinctively grabs his aching chest only to latch on to Nami’s breast. Realizing this, Sanji immediately powers up and shoots ahead of the group, catching up to the dragon and capturing it. Nearby, Nami and Usopp ride Brownbeard and Nami apologizes to him for making him carry them in his injured state. She’s still taking care of the kids and can only hope they haven’t eaten the candy yet. Brownbeard assures her that it’s no big deal and declares that they have to save their men anyway. They then notice a running figure in the distance and realize it was a dragon speeding out of gas with several people clinging to it. Outside the lab, the marines are relieved to see one of the lab shutters open, while inside Caesar’s subordinates panic over the shutter opening, wondering who pulled the lever. Someone points up and the underlings see Luffy, Robin, Law, Tashigi and Smoker standing over them with a pile of defeated minions under their feet. Tashigi is happy to see everyone safely inside, while Law wonders where his heart might be. Luffy comments on how interesting things are getting and Smoker shows his unwillingness to cooperate.
Outside the lab, Brownbeard with the dragon now attached to his tail and Zoro, Brook, Sanji and Kin’emon holding on to the dragon run towards the now closing shutter. Zoro asks Kin’emon if he can cut iron and the samurai replies that it’s no problem. Zoro then tells Brownbeard to keep running. The two swordsmen cut through the door and Brownbeard’s barrel, and they all fell in a heap. Everyone inside is now scared that the gas may be getting into the lab, while Luffy is happy to see that everyone is back in one place and orders everyone to start defending themselves.
